The Manitoba Transit Heritage Association, Inc. is pleased to formally announce the receipt of three heritage buses for its growing historical collection.

[1]. Beaver Bus Lines Limited has donated to the MTHA its #33, a 1963 General Motors SDM-4502.

[2]. New Flyer Industries ULC has donated to the MTHA two fully restored highway coaches. One is former Grey Goose Lines #20, a 1956 Western Flyer model T36-2L. The second is former RCAF #119A35-1815, a 1958 Western Flyer model T32.

All three coaches are in operating condition, and all will be retained and preserved by the MTHA. These are the sixth, seventh, and eighth buses of the MTHA operating fleet.

Winnipeg Transit is okay with all these MTHA buses in their garage or are you guys going to have a private storage somewhere soon?

We are losing some of the garage space we have now, so these three new buses plus at least one previously stored courtesy of Winnipeg Transit will have to be stored elsewhere.

Here are photos of the three new donations:

I got to ride BOTH 751 (née 132 in 1971, built in Pontiac, Michigan, because of its A/C, and without seats, to accommodate the computer equipment) and the deck-and-a-half on the BHA tour. The tour covered MCI, WT, Beaver, and New Flyer. Several MTHA members including Alex Regiec and David Wyatt were on the trip (Dennis Cavanagh was not). Flyer D901 107 (1984) was at first also on the trip, but its charging system croaked somewhere between MCI and WT; she was pushed into the yard and D40 # 674 replaced her for the rest of the day. I was on 751 all day from the start; that one did the earlier of 2 NFI tours. On the way in from the airport, we changed to the deck-and-a-half at the old Grey Goose garage at Portage and Burnell.
