Would be interesting... but... why do we need that? Seems like a waste of money. Although, I'm sure it won't get built.

I saw this on the news last night and was shocked to see that the artists rendition of the neighbourhoods included Trolley Lines!!!
Orion VIII
Funiculars are very interesting. The only one I have ever ridden was last month at the Horseshoe Curve, Altoona, PA. It is slow and bumpy, with a low capacity, but it is automated.
Board Admin A. Wong Posted September 14, 2006 Board Admin Report Share Posted September 14, 2006 Makes me wonder how they are going to oversee the operation of something like a funicular. There was a catastrophe involving a funicular somehwere in Europe, but that was due to poor maintenance and the fact that it went into a mountain or something. Ode of Bund
unless we have a beatiful night sky view like Hong Kong.
Mark Walton
The elevator inside the Shaw Convention Center is effectively an indoor funicular. Quebec City upgraded their funicular a few years ago after a fatal accident - and no, RTC doesn't run it. Now, it looks more like a hi-tech elevator, with cars much like those in the SCC.
