Any idea how many KM's these buses have? hard to say since their engines get replaced at least once or twice.

MTA will keep some of the best D60HFs, RTS' and the older VII HEV's 1
Shaun Posted July 27, 2017 Report Posted July 27, 2017 How many RTS' do they have left in their fleet?

TheAverageJoe Posted July 28, 2017 Report Posted July 28, 2017 19 hours ago, Shaun said: How many RTS' do they have left in their fleet? about 350-370
Shaun Posted July 28, 2017 Report Posted July 28, 2017 Do they not have the same corrosion issues that we had with these units?
curlingteam333 Posted July 29, 2017 Report Posted July 29, 2017 7688 might be done cause I saw driven on highway 401 with lumintor horizon sign removed and driven to hillcrest or mount dennies
Shaun Posted July 30, 2017 Report Posted July 30, 2017 Are any in good enough condition for someone to buy them and use them? Other than the emissions issue. I think it's interesting that the 50 series for its time was considered to be the first clean diesel engine. When the Orion V's arrived they were supposed to be significantly cleaner than the fishbowl and Classics. 1
TTCNLFBT Posted July 30, 2017 Report Posted July 30, 2017 (edited) 7692 is done. Some parts were removed and Presto readers are taken out. 7452 and another VII (7598?) are parked at the back near the tracks, facing south. Edited July 30, 2017 by New Looks in Toronto 1

leylandvictory2 Posted August 1, 2017 Report Posted August 1, 2017 the buses uses stainless steel, they shouldn't rust in fact, I haven't seen one slow box with signs of rusts

TTCNLFBT Posted August 8, 2017 Report Posted August 8, 2017 7485 broke down wb on Eglinton at Hoyle. (West of Bayview) Update on 7412 this bus is still active, spotted it on 54 last Saturday (July 5th).
TTCNLFBT Posted August 9, 2017 Report Posted August 9, 2017 7579 and 7690 are stored at Birchmount. On July 8th, bus 7439 was on a hoist at Eglinton. Few days later it was placed by the fence at the north side facing west. This bus is most likely retired because it hasn't been in service ever since.
