OC Transpo 4201-4202 are New Flyer D40i buses built and delivered in 2003. They were pilot buses for the 4203-4273 order.
4201 was sent to Ottawa and 4202 was kept at New Flyer in Minnesota to test and replicate any problems that OC was having. This series of buses plus 4203-4273 got the front door interlock removed in 2010.
Refurbishment
Starting in 2014 and over the next four years, these units will be refurbished. The refurbishment will include structural frame repairs, replacing powertrain, replacing brakes, suspension repairs, replacing passenger and operator seats and exterior repainting.[1]
