St. Albert Transit

St. Albert Transit, also known as StAT, provides transit service to the city of St. Albert, with routes to various destinations in Edmonton.

The employees are represented by the Amalgamated Transit Union, Local 569.

History

• From April 1974 to 1986, Edmonton Transit System was contracted to operate the system.
• In 1976 Briggs Bus Lines operated the the local routes.
• In 1986 the contractor switched to Grey Goose Bus Lines for Driver Operations.
• Effective July 1, 2004 Diversified Transportation acquired the Driver Operations and Dispatch Contract for St. Albert Transit.
• In 2014, new buses began being delivered in a green livery.
