The third generation of the Ducato was introduced in 2006. It features an increased wheelbase as well as increased track. The exterior features redesigned headlights and grill with a bulbous black polymer bumper. The sides have deeper character lines, and the rear has new headlights. The third generation Ducato features improved suspension as well a better noise reduction.
Ram Trucks introduced the Ducato to the North American market as the ProMaster in 2013. It is available as a panel van, passenger van, and cutaway chassis. A number of upfitters also make use of the ProMaster. The Ram ProMaster was available with a 3.0 litre Iveco diesel engine or a 3.6 litre Chrysler Pentastar engine. The diesel option was dropped in 2019.
