Route Description

Route 2 operated between Highstreet and Huntingdon via Blue Jay, South Fraser Way, and Sumas Way. It serviced Clearbrook Mall, Bourquin Exchange, Downtown Exchange, and Sumas Shopping Centre. [1]

History

  • August 29, 2004: Service introduced as route 2 Bluejay - Huntingdon GoLine as part of a major network restructure [2]
    • Mon-Fri: Every 30 minutes from ~6:30 to 19:00, then every hour until ~22:00
    • Sat: Every 30 minutes from ~8:00 to 19:00, then every hour until ~22:00
    • Sun: Every hour from ~10:00 to 18:00
    • Some trips operated as school special variants
  • September 2, 2008: Peak service frequency increased to every 15 minutes [3]
  • Winter 2010: Sunday service frequency increased to every 45 minutes [4]
  • Summer 2011: Service span extended to start at ~6:00 every day. Sunday evening service extended to 19:30. All limited-service variants eliminated [5]
  • September 7, 2015: Trips alternate between Sumas Shopping Centre and 2 Avenue and Sumas Way [6]
  • June 30, 2019: Route discontinued as part of system-wide restructuring [7]
