exo/contractor bus sightings (was: CIT Sightings)

Recommended Posts

Ste-Julie's only Orion V was parked on de la Gauchetiere st in front of Place Bonaventure yesterday at 5pm on whatever that route is that Ste-Julie buses do at that stop..

It was either route 600 or route 900. What's even more interesting about that is that both of these routes are usually served by a coach, usually of the MCI or Prevost variety. I don't think I've ever seen a 40-footer on either of those routes.

And IIRC, St. Julie has two suburban Orion Vs, 19101 and 33102. Alex can probably verify this for us.

You're right they do have another one! I saw it on a tow truck on A-20 at 4:30pm just over the St Jacques WB enterence. It must have been 33102 as it was a white livery with Ste Julie decals, as 19101 is grey with Ste Julie decals.

Today's CIT Sightings

22 / 02 / 10

Here are some CIT sightings from yesterday that I forgot to post.

CRTL

125: 29076

RTCR

20: 29210

3: 29228, 29227, 29011 - Very strange to see 3rd-gens with narrow front doors (29227 & 29228). They look like '08 LFS with the front and rear of a 3rd-gen grafted onto them.

50: 29202

10 / 14: 29338 (Cutaway)

4: 29218, 29020

HS: 29209

MRCLM

40: 29116

11: 29113

CITSV

722: 0913 (Wrapped for something)

Sorry for the delay on this, 0913 is wrapped for Greenfield Ethanol

2576 has been totally whitewashed for some reason.

I have an interesting history about that bus in my database.

25-May-09 - Seen by a certain banned board member on CITSV

16-Sep-09 - Seen by myself on CIT Richelain

My assumption is, it's whitewashed because it's a spare for both CITLR and CITSV.

200 Express: 625307 - A '97 RTS that has run with many companies, says Tristan. SURF was among them.

Also CIT Roussillon: http://mnebuspage.fotopic.net/p35108694.html

MRCLM

25A: 29122*

25B: 29121*

35: 29224

HS: 29103 (DH WB Henri-Bourassa)

*Note: Due to inclement weather, the Balios displays of the Orion Vs were hard to see. However, I know that Orion Vs are usually common sights on the 25A / 25B. Plus, they were heading EB on Henri-Bourassa, which is part of the route for both branches. The only bus with a legible display was 29224, which was something much larger and brighter than your standard Axion display.

GORTC 29005 is retired! Another GM Classic bites the dust  It's sitting scrapped at Capital Bus Parts just outside Quebec City.

Dang :P. I had a feeling that newly-acquired RTCR 3rd-gens 29227 & 29228 might have knocked it out, and I guess I was right. At least I got some pictures and a video of that amazing bus while it was still alive. I wonder if RTCR 29001 & 29003 (ex-STCUM 14-900 & 901, respectively) are still around.

As far as I know, yes they are active. After all, they are 1994 units, so they should last a little longer.

Someone on the other board posted that the GORTC 30ft Nova RTS #29022 is running as a local spare in Joliette! No wonder nobody ever see's this piece.

852-33-7 (1997 Prevost H3-45; ex Metropolitain 752)

853-33-7 (1997 Prevost H3-45; ex Metropolitain 753)

855-33-1 (2001 Prevost H3-45; ex Metropolitain 754)

For 853-33-7 and 854-33-7, are they two different coaches that were numbered 753? I don't recall two 753s on the previous roster. Also did 750 retire, and if so when?

Thanks

Hmm, interesting. I guess one potential reason why Veolia moved all of the Orion Vs to St. Julie was because they wanted them all in one place. Before this, they were all scattered around (ie: St. Julie had a few, as did CITCRC and other Veolia-operated CITs). Of course, there could be other reasons as well, but this sounds like the most logical one to me.

Additional Notes:

Tristan and I have determined that the C that appears in the fleet numbers of certain Veolia vehicles might stand for Camera, as some of Veolia's fleet have cameras aboard. So I guess the mystery of the C might be solved now.

Did Ville de Saint Julie 18711 and 56101 exist? Since they were on the wiki and not on the list of this page I presumed they are retired/transfered. Also, Alex, do you have a list vehicles transfered between agencies this update like the CITCRC Vs being sent to Saint-Julie?

I've updated most of the wiki pages with your latest information too. Thanks for your help.
