Yep. I also saw Perimeter 674 (35' Orion I) and 903 (??).

674 is a 30' bus. It only recently returned to service after a year and a half sitting with a blown engine. 903 is a brand-new Goshen, and it was probably doing schedule work. Did you see agents running around in bright blue shirts?

Today while riding my Expo Line back to Surrey I came to a shocking discovery, new skytrain seat covering. The car I was in (147 a MK I) didn't have the factory blue vinyl seat but instead a fabric like material. I checked the other car (148) and it had the vinyl seats. I think this maybe the first car with these seats. Anyways here's a photo I took today just before King George Stn.

Does anybody have an ideas about this?

147 and 148 were involved in an incident a few years back (early this decade, I don't recall the exact year) whereby a consist derailed and caused major damage to the cars. I remember hearing that one of the LIM motors went right through the floor of the car. They were out of commission for quite a long time, and there was some speculation at the time that the pair might be written off. Repairs were made, though, and 147/148 returned to service sometime in late 2004 or early 2005, if my memory serves - with 147 receiving the new seat covering. I remember riding it in early 2006 and getting a crappy shot at the time.

(Actually Chris, the other day when we were riding the Skytrain back from Pacific Central, I noticed 147/148 in a consist that was parked in a siding at Stadium Station. I was going to make a comment about that car being the only Mk I with different seat covers, but lost my train of thought for some reason.)

Witty remarks for the day:

Linear Induction Motor motors?

Both buses receive an easy 10/10

Also of note, R9215 has a new bike rack and was seen Friday on the 351.

The last 1998 D40LF to be refurbished is out, but not in service. For the past week V7274 has been rolling around VTC, it's been parked at the back fence of days on end and then into the shops. Today the bus was supposed to go out on the 15 Cambie, but at last minute the driver B/Oed the bus. I managed to grad a shot of it pulling past the gates.

Enjoy this piece of Vancouver Transit history.

7274 finally made an in-service appearance today, on a PM run of the 25. I managed to get two different shots of it, one as it was leaving the garage and one as it was running in service on King Edward near Macdonald.

V7280 was seen deep in STC territory (Langley) a number of days ago.

Someone please update the Wiki... the new bike racks i believe have propagated to all the restyled buses, and 2242 i heard has come home and back in service.

V7280 has been in STC for awhile now, they just haven't changed the prefix

Apparently, there are 4 Brills (2 Trolleys- 2040 & 2416 + 2 Diesels- 3405 & 3406) preserved by TRAMS, except 3406, those 3 Brills were used to be for some activities before~~ you must mean 3404 and 3405

ya, even though RTC still have more space for more buses, but the buses allocated in RTC are more than enough for it~~:D

A few reports to make from everyone's favorite Surrey Transit Photographer :D

First I've got a new refurbishment to share with everyone. S7341 came out earlier this week fresh with a new bike rack. Sadly this bus was given a rear ad, damn Lamar is quick with these bloody ads.

http://trans-vancouver.fotopic.net/p53172284.html

Here's a shot of her in the middle of refurb

http://trans-vancouver.fotopic.net/p51696855.html

Now in the middle of repairs at BTC is S7454. This D40LFR was unfortunately involved in a MVA. David Lam and I where checking out BTC when we spotted a D40LFR being pushed out on Kitchener, while I bolted like an Olympic sprinter Dave parked the car. Here's the shots of him being pushed by a forklift during a FOH transfer. As you'll soon notice the bus has no front end, talk about an unique photo!

Let's wrap up with all the Bell wraps!

B8005:

http://www.trans-vancouver.fotopic.net/p53330514.html

http://www.trans-vancouver.fotopic.net/p53316630.html

B8019:

http://www.trans-vancouver.fotopic.net/p53330512.html

B8027:

http://www.trans-vancouver.fotopic.net/p53330513.html

B8050 (Chris's photo):

http://www.trans-vancouver.fotopic.net/p53316628.html

http://www.trans-vancouver.fotopic.net/p53316629.html

There are 3 slightly different designs, equally distributed to two

buses carrying each of the designs........therefore a total of 6 buses

are wrapped, all are curbside-wraps and rear fullback (driver's side is

NOT wrapped) Aside from those mentioned above, B8010 and B8051 are

wrapped and both reported already.

6/6 all captured.......mission accomplished.

Enjoy!

Dave
