OCTD 2039
I rode unit 2222 on route 173 for today. 9701 was used on route 191 three days ago and 9714 was used as a training bus.
Shakey077
Rare 9800 sighting today on the 61. Typically it is a 1500 XN60 on the run it was on.

New Flyer requested they be removed from service ASAP. 1506 is at LBT1 with New Flyer techs testing out whatever the issue may be.

Agree it was cool seeing the added diesels out. Check out tracking today on the 45/46. Think you will see an interesting pattern. Same with most the 90's too. OCTD 2039
I rode unit 2007 on route 94 and then unit 2224 on route 93. I attempted to ride a New Flyer D40LF with Detroit Diesel Series 50, but failed as there were gasoline-electric hybrids and New Flyer D40LFs with Cummins engines on the 96 ZAP route. I want more than just to ride diesel buses, I want them! 9708 was supposedly running on route 21. The entities that were sealed within the bus base has awakened. Now I just need to harness its power. Diesel buses will finally come to be! Nyah ha ha ha!
Ramirez
Caught former Passport bus 1209 repainted into the regular livery. Sharp looking coach. Wish it didn't have the wheelcovers though.
OCTD 2039
I rode unit 1229 on route 93 this time, and then unit 9813 on the 96 ZAP. Gaahhh... I rode one of Long Beach Transit's Gillig BRTs where it has the wheelcovers on it unlike the Passport Gilligs, in which they are being repainted for regular service. I want more than just to ride natural gas... I want them! I saw a strange sign message on the bus stop on 7th Street and Cal State Long Beach. The entities that were sealed within the bus base has awakened. Now I just need to harness its power. Diesel buses will finally come to be! Nyah ha ha ha! OCTD 2039
I rode unit 2202 once again, this time on route 172, just because there were no New Flyer C40LFs and Orion VIs on line 125. I want more than just to ride diesel buses! I want them!

OCTD 2039
I rode unit 2209 on route 173, in an attempt to avoid riding the OCTA's New Flyer C40LFRs which I have grown weary of them as an abomination! I want more than just to ride natural gas... I want them!
Shakey077
The BYD's are supposed to enter revenue service on Nov 6. However no operator training has taken place as yet and none of the BYD's have been 100% accepted by LBT yet either. They only have a couple on property, several sent back to fix issues and a few have not arrived from BYD yet.
OCTD 2039
I rode unit 1513 on route 102, 9814 on the 104, 2216 on the 173, 2018, 9714, and 2714 on the 51, 9805 and 9812 on the 61, and 2238 on the 93 for yesterday. I saw the Gillig BRTs still operating the Passport route as their BYD electric buses are to be fixed as of now. I don't give a damn on how slow First Transit's New Flyer C40LFRs from the OCTA are when I rode one of these buses on the 42, just before I had to ride Long Beach Transit, even though I want more than just to ride diesel buses... I want them!
OCTD 2039
I rode unit 2220 on route 192, 2516 on the 61, 2008 and 2013 on the 81, 2208 and 2907 on the 93, 2234 on the 94, and unit 2004 on route 173. I attempted to find a Detroit Diesel Series 50 D40LF on the 96 ZAP along with some other route, but unfortunately the route is out of service, and the 9700s and 9800s at this time are only used on afternoon and nighttime runs operated by LBT-2. I don't give a damn on how the OCTA got rid of their diesel buses with the Xcelsiors from New Flyer Industries. I want more than just to ride diesel buses! I want them! OCTD 2039
I rode unit 2234 on route 92 for today, and still the BYD K9 buses haven't started service as of yet once again. Again, I don't give a damn on how the OCTA got rid of their diesel buses with the Xcelsiors from New Flyer Industries. But still, I want more than just to ride diesel buses! I want them! Blue Bus Fan
@OCTD 2039, why do you want more diesel buses? When under California law transit authorities cannot order any more diesel buses.

When under California law transit authorities cannot order any more diesel buses. The OCTA got rid of all of their diesel buses through last month's service changes in order to improve efficiency, but unfortunately, when the OCTA gets all the Xcelsiors, they could have a bus shortage if they manage to rid all of the diesels and NABI 40-LFWs from their fleet. The only thing I don't want is too much of one type of bus, like those New Flyer C40LFRs and Xcelsiors the OCTA has.
OCTD 2039
Yesterday I rode units 1505 and 1513 on route 101, 2413 on the 51, 2218 on the 46, 9714 on the 72, 1524 on the 71, 2008 on the 93, the demo Gillig BRT Plus unit 1201 on the 51, 2005 on the 121, 2235 and 2009 on the 171, 9803 on the 96 ZAP, and 2221 on route 172. I was supposed to ride 9708 on route 192 but then left Long Beach Transit Mall before I was supposed to go into that bus. There were 3 Christmas buses Long Beach Transit did for this month's holiday: 2235, 2425, and 2923. Unfortunately the Christmas decals have been taken off on all the buses. I don't give a damn on the contractor First Transit, where they put many drivers on the road with a lack of training even though Long Beach Transit never has contracted services. LBT do not know when they will be ready to enter revenue service. They are riddled with issues that BYD has had to fix. Not all 10 have been built yet even. Best guess is maybe Feb service change, which btw won't be any changes as that has been put on hold but drivers are doing a new bid. They will just run the same schedule as now.
