It is possible now to expand and possibly convert some of the Blue Bird Company VINs by using this website right here: http://vantage.blue-bird.com/Portal/Unit-Dashboard.aspx I have been using it for over two weeks to look up a full VIN but I discovered a method of searching the VINs simply by entering the chassis/body (aka serial) number; for example, entering F202405 (LA Metro 9974) on the bus lookup search bar gave me this entry with the owner part of that page being misleading: http://vantage.blue-bird.com/Portal/Unit-Dashboard.aspx?search= 1BAGNBXA92F202405 And then entering the next serial in sequence (F202406) gave me a previously unknown Blue Bird CS Bus belonging to Cruise West in Alaska: http://vantage.blue-bird.com/Portal/Unit-Dashboard.aspx?search= F202406 Some of the sequence numbers (e.g. F202407-F202408) however might not exist so I tried the next one in sequence (F202409) and it shows another previously unknown Blue Bird All American FE vehicle from West Central Mass Transit in Illinois: http://vantage.blue-bird.com/Portal/Unit-Dashboard.aspx?search= F202409 Blue Bird VIN pages made in the new format should be based on the manufacturing plant; the Wanderlodge VINs are the easiest to make as the existing Blue Bird Express and 2005-2007 Blue Bird Ultra LF VINs can be consolidated into a single page containing the vehicles built at that plant while adding previously undocumented VINs as well; there are under 600 units spanning from the 2003-2007 model years with the serials ranging from W100000-W100590; VINs with the Wanderlodge plant code based on the new format should be labeled as: Blue Bird Wanderlodge '[x model year] VINs' Beware that some of the 2003-2007 Wanderlodge VINs are later production Blue Bird Wanderlodge RVs bought under private ownership which may have to labeled as commercial vehicles. For the Fort Valley, GA VINs however, this process is longer than converting the Wanderlodge pages as there are a lot of VINs that have not been documented on the wiki coupled with the huge number of vehicles (mostly school buses) built at that plant (e.g. Blue Bird All American, Vision, TC2000, TC1000, CS Bus, early production Ultra LFs, Xcel 102 models, etc.) therefore it should likely be based on model year along with serial number like the Gillig Low Floor VINs made in the new format; VINs with the Fort Valley, GA plant code based on the new format should be labeled as: Blue Bird Fort Valley, GA '[x model year] VINs' The Blue Bird All American 'B-M VINs' if the old VIN format were to be retained will have to be separated as a result of the expansion thanks to the new method of finding Blue Bird VINs I discovered by labeling the pages as, for example: Blue Bird All American 1991 'M VINs' or Blue Bird All American 'M VINs' (1991) for the 1991 model year Blue Bird All American 2021 'M VINs' or Blue Bird All American 'M VINs' (2021) for the 2021 model year I also found an updated Blue Bird VIN definition chart (https://vantage.blue-bird.com/Portal/VIN-Definition-chart1.aspx) on the same Blue Bird Vantage website that describes the serial numbers, meaning that the Blue Bird VIN Explanation should be updated to include the info found on that aforementioned chart.

This page (https://cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php/Metropolitan_Area_Commuter_System_T945-T946) has to either be renamed 'Metropolitan Area Commuter System 941-948' or 'Metropolitan Area Commuter System T941-T948' because a Public Surplus auction shows 947 being a 30 foot Gillig Phantom; and units 941-944 and 948 are also 30 foot Gilligs too; using the VIN code for 35 foot Gillig Phantoms will not work for these aforementioned units in that page.

Units 12530-12534 are 2001 ElDorado National Aerotechs with Ford Econoline cabs, originally numbered 8064-8068; VINs for these buses are: 1HA06456-1HA06460 Units 12535-12536 are 2002 ElDorado National Aerotechs with Ford Econoline cabs, ex-Pasadena Transit 1764-1765 ; VINs for these buses are unknown. Units 12500-12527 are 2001 ElDorado National MST II diesel buses originally numbered 11500-11527; VINs for these buses are: 1CH89443-1CH894470 LA Metro's MST II diesel buses are missing some important stuff found in a typical bus series' info page and were renumbered out of order from their original fleet numbers.   8. LACMTA 11038 at Los Cerritos Center, serving line 130 on January 15th, 2019. LA Metro is among the last American transit agencies to operate the Orion VI in regular service; these vehicles are contracted to MV Transportation for use on lines 125, 128, 130, 205, and 232. Metro's Orions have been plagued with the little to no maintenance work for most of their entire service lives, effectively making these buses guaranteed a risk of engine fire. Unit 11034 has been recently involved in an engine fire yesterday morning, after 11062 had a similar fate not too long ago; as a result, these Orion VI buses are about to be replaced very soon by new ENC Axess buses.

Both of those VINs correspond to 2007 model year C40LFRs with C Gas Plus engines... by clicking on the link above, you will see George Lumbreras' photo of OCTA unit 5611 in the year 2010, with the license plate number '1306063'. I entered that license plate number by using that link (https://www.vehiclehistory.com/license-plate-search/) and when I did so, it gave me the VIN with the serial number '7C034886' The Cummins Westport C Gas Plus engine was discontinued in early 2008 after units 5648, and 7501-7528 from the OCTA were built by New Flyer but somehow in late 2008-early 2009, OCTA unit 5611 was built, with a C Gas Plus engine in it. I have not seen or rode this unit before; it is currently contracted to First Transit at Irvine, CA. Here is the question that you users have to solve: Why does OCTA unit 5611 have two separate VINs and is this the very last New Flyer bus with a C Gas Plus engine?

This page (https://cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php/Orange_County_Transportation_Authority_5502-5599,_5601-5674, ) either needs its comma removed at the end or it has to be renamed 'Orange County Transportation Authority 5501-5599, 5601-5674, 7501-7529' if you want to merge all of the separate pages for OCTA units 5501, 7529, and 7501-7528 into the main page itself, which is huge considering there are 200 units in OCTA's 2007 model year New Flyer C40LFRs along with the 2006 model demo unit.

This is the big offender here: once again, the behavioral therapy sessions, which have lasted over 2 years now are annoying me so hard when I have to communicate often resulting me in constant spaz attacks an severe behavioral problems even to the point in some cases I had to hit myself because I'm cooperating with this heinous program... that stupid design! I have that 3 times per week and after each session I force myself to go on some bus trips just to try to destroy these insolent fools... these sessions are not in the position to demand anything, that nasty little paincushion! 2. I'm eating the same foods over and over again such as white rice, shrimp, bananas, the same brand of meals and snacks from Costco and not anywhere else, and what's even worst is that my parents refuse to eat or buy foods such as cheese, olives, bacon, baked potatoes, canned food, and some others they do not know how to cook or eat... what fools they are for such negligence. 3. On the streets there are cars that accelerate fired up with extremely loud engines that look like race cars in everyday life. 4. There are people who want money especially me but I refuse to give because I need the money for my own needs. 5. My dad is mad at me for shopping every day but I only do so mostly during bus trips.

Lately I've been trying to get VINs for OCTA's 2007 New Flyer C40LFRs by putting the license plate numbers using this site (https://www.vehiclehistory.com/licence-plate-search/free-licence-plate-search-california.php ) but it fails, leading me into this error page because that site just had been updated, effectively making bus VINs impossible and futile to get right now.
  13. http://www.chaffeeyiu.com/photo/ladot/ladot-85001.jpg I am requesting this page (https://cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php/Los_Angeles_Department_of_Transportation_85002-85004) to be renamed as 'Los Angeles Department of Transportation 85001-85004' since there is a photo of 85001 (ex-Laidlaw 5488) with its engine open from Chaffee Yiu's website as provided in the URL above. That bus was burned sometime after receiving its new engine, paint, and destination sign.
  14. I just put up some of the VINs of OCTA's 2007 New Flyer C40LFRs, among them being in the 5502-5599, 5601-5674, and 7501-7528 series. The wiki page for these units still have not been created yet and there are many other VINs that are awaiting to be put up on the wiki. Yesterday I just saw 5866 operating on Bravo 560 and those units do not have a wiki page created yet also. The license plates for these 2018 New Flyer XN40 units are: 1535793 1535842 1535841
  15. I just put up the VINs for Duarte Transit units 101-102 by using the license plates on www.vehiclehistory.com; the VINs are located in the 2002 EZ Rider VINs wiki page. Duarte Transit unit 101's license plate is 1105068 Duarte Transit unit 102's license plate is 1105067 There is a handout which comes in a PDF online that shows the timetables for both the Green and Blue Routes. Yesterday, I just rode some buses from Duarte Transit, which is a very small transit agency in Duarte, California consisting of 4 buses in their fleet: Units 101-102: ElDorado EZ Rider buses Units 103-104: 2006-2007 ElDorado EZ Rider II MAX buses with Cummins ISB engines and Allison B300R 5 speed transmissions This bus system has two routes: Blue Route and Green Route All rides in this bus system are free Currently, there is no wiki article for Duarte Transit yet, but I have all of the VINs for Duarte Transit units 103-104 in the 2007 EZ Rider II MAX VIN article More info for this bus system should be accessed here: http://www.accessduarte.com/dept/admin/transit_division/default.htm
  17. This is the one of many solutions into why there are a lot of unfinished, incomplete, outdated pages that need to be updated. Look, there are a lot of other wikis that allow you to get a random article yet this wiki is an exception for such features. The addition of a random page generator in this wiki should most likely have users find info in this wiki they have not seen or heard of before and it will motivate anyone for more research to update any article found on this wiki.
  18. Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority unit 1912 is a 2001 New Flyer D40LF. This is one of 21 buses bought secondhand from Central Ohio Transit Authority in 2015. Here, this bus is operating route 2M to downtown Toledo. This bus was originally COTA unit 2142.
  19. This content additions page is for all information that is yet to be added into Omnitrans wiki articles as well as information relevant to that bus system. The following information that needs to be added is: Units 131-141 are retired since one of those units didn't appear on the Transsee bus tracker website for Omnitrans, and I didn't see them in service as of last year. The order of 2016 New Flyer XN40s likely caused the retirement of these 2001 model New Flyer C40LFs. 2012 and 2014 New Flyer XN40s from Omnitrans have Voith D864.5 transmissions instead of Allison Transmission, as seen in the wiki article, which is inaccurate. I found out that these buses' dashboards have Voith shift selectors, apart from the fact some of the Omnitrans XN40s sound differently from the OCTA XN40s. Units 1321-1333 have 6 speed Allison Transmission B400Rs Units 153-154 are built in October 2003; units 158-172 are built in November 2003 Units 101-103, and 105-121 are built in January 2001 Units 175-187 and 198 are built in May 2005; units 193-197 are built in June 2005 Units 1201-1210 are built in June 2009; units 1220-1227 are built in July 2009 Some of the 2011 New Flyer C40LFRs have 6-speed Allison Transmission B400Rs; 1233 is one of these buses with an Allison Transmission The 2001, 2003, 2005 New Flyer C40LFs, and 2009 New Flyer C40LFRs have TwinVision/Digital Recorders Amber LED signs. Note that the TwinVision brand destination sign controllers may either have the Digital Recorders logo or the Twinvision logo on buses made before 2007. Units 171 and 175-198 have 39 American Seating Innovator 850 padded fabric seats Some of the 2003 New Flyer C40LFs have 33 American Seating Innovator 850 padded fabric seats and 3 American Seating Vision padded fabric seats in order to accommodate the Q-Pods wheelchair securement system and one wheelchair securement station. These buses originally had 39 seats. Omnitrans' New Flyer XN40s have 34 American Seating Vision padded fabric seats. Some of these buses' VINs are missing, which can be confirmed if you use AutoCheck.com by using one of the VINs closest to that particular bus and entering the next VIN for that unit. Add Omnitrans route 208, 215, and 290. The rest of the routes that need to be changed are found in the latest Omnitrans bus book for January 2018 by downloading a PDF copy from their website or obtaining a physical copy by riding on Omnitrans buses. Unit 640/1640 was built in November 1992 1997 Neoplan AN440A CNG buses were built from May to August 1997 Omnitrans' 1996 Orion Vs were built from December 1996 to January 1997. These buses had Cummins L10G engines and ZF 4HP590 transmissions instead of the Cummins C8.3G and ZF 4HP592 powertrain as listed in the wiki articles.

These buses with repowered engines have additional cooling vents on the rear that are intended to be used as an after-treatment system for the new engine as shown in the picture below.

This bus supposedly had 1,039,371 miles even though the website says it had 39,371 miles, as the odometer on these buses only have six black squares and a single white one, which don't register the millionth mile, instead starting over at zero. Its VIN is 5FYD2TN03VU017851 LACMTA's 2003-2004 NABI 45C-LFW CNG buses (8000-8099) and 2005 NABI 40-LFW CNG buses (7525-7599) have Detroit Diesel Series 50 MK-G EPA 2004 engines LACMTA units 12500-12527 were 2001 Eldorado National MST II diesel buses. They were originally numbered 11500-11527. VINs for units 11500-11527 are: 1CH89443-1CH89470 LACMTA units 9970-9975 were 2002 model Blue Bird CSRE 3904 diesel buses built in 2001. The VINs of these buses, in mixed order, are: 2F202401-2F202406 LACMTA units 9950-9969 were 2001 Thomas TL960 buses built in 2000. Unit 8285 (2009 NABI Metro 45C CNG) has a Near Zero ISL-G engine. This bus was at OCI before its retirement. The front section of LACMTA unit 6317 has been reconfigured as a display at the OCI building. It has a Luminator Horizon LED sign. Metro leased 14 OCTA GMC T8H-203 diesel buses in 1998 due to a shortage of buses in their fleet during the CNG crisis in the mid to late 1990s. Before that, 3004, 3012, and some other units were leased to Metro in 1996 with their OCTA fleet numbers and paint schemes retained, with the Metro logo placed over the OCTA 'highway' logo. These buses were then retired in April to May 2001. This bus had 659,371 miles and it is to be auctioned off this Saturday.
