  1. Interlines........Bus Math for permutations and combinations
  2. (1) It was Microbus, (2) It was headed for 'The Pool', (3) It was not a trolley. Two out of three ain't bad. I'd rather have Ken on his Route 120, but then I promised Microbus a visit and the Route 120 doesn't go to the pool. Somedays you just can't have it all. I had to set aside the trolleypride for 20 minutes. But we did talk trolley and we saw Unit # 155 on the E9 ! Watch it there buster, you can be replaced
  3. You're really bent on doing this. Well if we convert it into a travelling clubhouse, then we will have to have our meetings in it...which means you have to start attending them I was also told by someone dear to you, that you should practice your passion and start taking the bus more
  4. Mitchell was reported as having equipment shortage issues around 1545-1600.
  5. Uh yeah, the Route 120 leaves at 1416 and does not go to the pool. Would be sweet if it did though
  6. I was walking west towards the pool, even if I had hollered there was a fair mound of snow between where you stood and where I was walking, so I still may have been out of sight. I'll probably catch you at 1406 at Stadium tomorrow. DON"T break down, eh.
  7. Driving another quality NFI product ? I saw you at WTC at 1600 today. I don't think you saw me though
  8. That can also result in a 'preventable' on your employment record. Turned out the lady was on her cell phone to the police when the driver approached her car. She could just as easily have been on her phone in the first place.
  9. A problem at 156 Street and Stony Plain Road this morning. Trolleys are being pushed around the corner into JPC. Why does that not surprise me ? John had a problem there yesterday and the resulting dewirement took the transmitter thingy off the end of Unit # 128's pole. John has Unit # 179 today (Tuesday).
  10. OK. A civilian can always report things to Epcor. Don't have to wait for 'someone to notice'
  11. A Low Floor is closer to the ground. Just like my pants get dirty fast because I am short and closer to the ground than most of my friends. It's all part of the wide, low design.
  12. Figures ! It had to happen while I was at the pool, merrily swimming, dreaming of a nice trolley ride home. There was a long time broken hanger at 138 Street and 102 Avenue. It has since been repaired. This one on 107 Avenue and 134 Street is more recent AFAIK. (I could be wrong though).
  13. ETS had a driver that allegedly did that.
  14. John has Unit # 128 this morning. Run 503 has someone else on it this morning (perhaps Bill is taking a Mental Health Day). A new fella on it got a bit turned around Downtown, but he's back on track with Unit # 170. Mitch has Unit # 181. A lady doing Run 702 today. Perhaps Geoff and Bill went golfing together ? It's currently a nice balmy -5. Good golfing weather
  15. Is there not also a bus lane on 97 Street somewhere between Northgate and 118 Avenue ?
  16. OK, just came back from The Platform Level. All has been lovingly transformed into Disney-theme. It's really very fairy-tale-ish. I think the ads are more appealing to women and kids. Lots of pastel shades and soft tones. Nicely done though. And yes, the seating area is covered and there is a banner hanging over the stairwell/escalator area.
  17. (with several exceptions, like the computer people on CPTDB) Probably not those 'Vista guys' though. Although perhaps they just like the older buses. Many of the older buses have character.
  18. I haven't been to platform yet...I will take a quick boo at it during lunch (at 1300). I'll let you know... Platform was still EnMax this morning at 0725. Mezzanine level backlit ads already had been transformed into Disneyland Ads. Guys were up on ladders a while ago adding visine (the red is gone...hahaha).
  19. What do they know about buses ? Aren't they computer nerds
  20. Churchill Station goes through another metamorphosis. From EnMax to DISNEYLAND !!! It is morphing as I type. Come out and have a look.....and don't forget to drop in and say "Hi" while you're in the 'hood.
  21. Saturday saw trolleys on the Route 5 and D40LF's on the Route 3. Apparently *they* were installing some cable on 102 Avenue near 100 Street. Today (Sunday) there are trolleys on the Route 3 and D40LF's on the Route 5. Not sure what's up with that (yet). Frost on the wires this morning saw at least two of the Route 3's (the ones that stay out late) C/O to D40LF's. AFAIK, Dennis who had Unit # 128 this morning seemed to have carbons on and they were worn down by the first trip. He called it in at about 0730. He was getting a C/O at Mitchell at 0739. I really wish they'd check if there is frost and put steels out first trip. Especially THE FIRST trip. The trailblazer always is the 'frostcutter' and should have steels on.
  22. If they do move it, there will have to be better bus service to that location. At it's current (downtown) location, it is very easy to get to by bus from just about anywhere.
