  1. Or as another driver calls them .., Ricky-Roo seats.
  2. A wire break this morning was probably the deciding factor in throwing more diesels onto the Route 3 than normal. Although unconfirmed, I heard (from two separate sources), the wire break actually occurred the night before (or very early morning) by a service person bringing something back to the garage. Unit # 183 dewired at 97 Street and 102 Avenue NB and lost a shoe. It got a C/O from a garagebound Route 1 at 2209 hrs. Mitchell service came out, reshoed the one pole and drove it back to Mitchell. Janice had Unit # 198, I don't know what went wrong (it couldn't have been too serious because she was still mobile and on time) but she got a C/O at 118 Avenue and 95 Street EB with Unit # 102 at 2055 hrs. Laura-Lee had Unit # 125 which she said was a pleasure to drive after having Unit # 126 for two days in a row. She says Unit # 126 is developing some very stiff steering. Glen had Unit # 181, Ken had Unit # 132, Marty had Unit # 121 and Don had Unit # 193.
  3. Thursday started out with a wire break on 124 Street and 113 Avenue. The switch there has been very tempermental as of late. I guess the switch lost this round. Push vehicle and Epcor are on the scene. Sounds like quite a few diesels on the Route 3 this morning.
  4. We could share a bus. The beauty is that these Jimmys are in good shape, they are not old rotting hulks that need a lot of work done to them
  5. Add a few zeros to your age, it's the thing to do around here
  6. Isn't it suppose to be six hybrids ? This cracked me up A lot of the D40LF's aren't all that 'dependable' either. Oh well, c'est la vie.
  7. Ken and I also spoke of this. It is very disturbing. I heard of the lady driving Unit # 121 and specifically asking for another trolley. I've heard her before. Quite the gal ! Were you on her bus ? I should make a point of catching Run 305 tomorrow. Watch, she probably has T/F off
  8. Interlines........Bus Math for permutations and combinations
  9. (1) It was Microbus, (2) It was headed for 'The Pool', (3) It was not a trolley. Two out of three ain't bad. I'd rather have Ken on his Route 120, but then I promised Microbus a visit and the Route 120 doesn't go to the pool. Somedays you just can't have it all. I had to set aside the trolleypride for 20 minutes. But we did talk trolley and we saw Unit # 155 on the E9 ! Watch it there buster, you can be replaced
  10. You're really bent on doing this. Well if we convert it into a travelling clubhouse, then we will have to have our meetings in it...which means you have to start attending them I was also told by someone dear to you, that you should practice your passion and start taking the bus more
  11. Mitchell was reported as having equipment shortage issues around 1545-1600.
  12. Uh yeah, the Route 120 leaves at 1416 and does not go to the pool. Would be sweet if it did though
  13. I was walking west towards the pool, even if I had hollered there was a fair mound of snow between where you stood and where I was walking, so I still may have been out of sight. I'll probably catch you at 1406 at Stadium tomorrow. DON"T break down, eh.
  14. Driving another quality NFI product ? I saw you at WTC at 1600 today. I don't think you saw me though
  15. That can also result in a 'preventable' on your employment record. Turned out the lady was on her cell phone to the police when the driver approached her car. She could just as easily have been on her phone in the first place.
  16. A problem at 156 Street and Stony Plain Road this morning. Trolleys are being pushed around the corner into JPC. Why does that not surprise me ? John had a problem there yesterday and the resulting dewirement took the transmitter thingy off the end of Unit # 128's pole. John has Unit # 179 today (Tuesday).
  17. OK. A civilian can always report things to Epcor. Don't have to wait for 'someone to notice'
  18. A Low Floor is closer to the ground. Just like my pants get dirty fast because I am short and closer to the ground than most of my friends. It's all part of the wide, low design.
  19. Figures ! It had to happen while I was at the pool, merrily swimming, dreaming of a nice trolley ride home. There was a long time broken hanger at 138 Street and 102 Avenue. It has since been repaired. This one on 107 Avenue and 134 Street is more recent AFAIK. (I could be wrong though).
  20. ETS had a driver that allegedly did that.
  21. John has Unit # 128 this morning. Run 503 has someone else on it this morning (perhaps Bill is taking a Mental Health Day). A new fella on it got a bit turned around Downtown, but he's back on track with Unit # 170. Mitch has Unit # 181. A lady doing Run 702 today. Perhaps Geoff and Bill went golfing together ? It's currently a nice balmy -5. Good golfing weather
