NFI D60lfs Newest ones?

I think the new ones are now equipped with bigger versions of what STO's '05 and up LFSs have. You can see these from no matter where you're looking.

As for the Horizons on the Inveros, those things are horrible sometimes.

How come these newest ones are still being delivered with Balios LED even though they clearly sucks and the Luminator Horizon is superior to them in every way and the whole fleet of Inveros have them.

I personally find that the destination signs in the invero's are rather hard to read at times. Usually they are too faint. I found the balios ones on the new D60LF to be more visible, but then again they are brand new.

Most Quebec system gets those medium size front sign, there are few of the private companies do have large sign for their LFS.

The problem with the Invero on the Luminator Horizon is they tilted down to make it harder to see.

Perhaps these are the new Balios/Procatec LED signs and not the old Balios Orange LED signs? I can't tell from pictures.

Yes, the new Axion sign since 2005!

So they are not Balios/Procatec; rarther, Axion LED signs.

I should clarify about little more.

1994-01: Balios

2001-04: Balios/Pocatec

2005-Present: Axion.

Those years should be right.

Still not totally clarified. I'll ask everything in this reply so we don't go on anymore about this.

Is that for A - OC Transpo or B - in general?

A - If it's for OC Transpo, then how come the 01-03 D60LFs' signs are still pretty bad and can barely be seen just like the older Balio signs other Quebec systems and Brampton's 01 have?

B - If it's in general, then does that mean there are no more Balios/Pocatec and that Axion bought them out?

I think it's OC.

On STO, they've been getting Axion signs on their LFSs since '05. Before that, they were getting those useless Pocatec things, and I think they were retrofitting the same thing under the Balios name on their Classics/New Looks.

OC D60LF sign were seem to be fixed to made it brighter I've found than some other system with Balios! While Quebec are quite bad which they don't bother fixing it.

Axion sign was not bought out, it was renamed from Pocatec company.

I have to check their ODK on their sign, cause the Axion renamed from Pocatec didn't start till at least 2007.

I'm sure I've seen Axion signs before the '07s.....

Of course, I'm always sure of a bunch of crap, only to be proven wrong.

Ah crap! I've just read my own posting and put Axion sign have in 2005! I think they were at that time, but I have to check my source again!

Just another forgotten memory.

There were plenty of them out yesterday...51-54-55-66(possibly)-70

I spotted 6380 at Hurdman around 1:30pm, which was out of service. And I spotted 6381 during the afternoon rush hour entering Lebreton Station going westbound.

  • 2 weeks later...

I snapped 6379 here in Winnipeg last month. Have you guys seen it yet?

Also, does anyone have any details about the transporter move from factory to customer for these? I was just wondering what type of license plate you are seeing when the bus is initially delivered to you. Does anyone have photos showing this?

The plate is usually Manitoba.
