Guy Clark: Country Music Singer and Songwriter Dies at Age 74, Family Says

 

 

 

 

Clark was born in Monahans, Texas, in 1941. He released 13 studio albums and was a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. His death was announced by his family on Tuesday.

Beastie Boys: John Berry, Original Member of Hip-Hop Group, Dies at 52

 

 

 

 

Berry, 52, was suffering from frontal lobe dementia and died at a hospice in Denvers, Mass., his father told Rolling Stone. He is credited with coming up with the name of the group.

Alan Young: Actor, Known for Role on 'Mister Ed,' Dies at Age 96 of Natural Causes, Spokeswoman Says

 

 

 

 

The Motion Picture & Television Country House and Hospital, a retirement community where Young resided, confirmed his death Friday. He played Wilbur on "Mister Ed" and voiced Scrooge McDuck.

Nick Menza: Former Megadeth Drummer Dies of Heart Failure at Age 51

 

 

 

 

Menza died while performing with his instrumental rock band OHM at a Los Angeles club Saturday, his management confirmed. He was the drummer for Megadeth from 1989-1998 and in 2004.

BREAKING NEWS:

Former Canadian teen idol and singer Bobby Curtola died at the age of 73.   Born in what's now Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, he made his international mark in 1962 with the singles, "Fortune Teller" and "Aladdin" and was awarded the Order Of Canada in 1997.  He is survived by his wife, Karyn Rochford, and two sons, Chris and Michael.

Looks like this will turn out to be another one of those such years (just like that one year where Michael Jackson and Billy Mays died within weeks of each other)...first David Bowie, then Prince, then Muhammad Ali, then Gordie Howe, now her.

Michu Meszaros, who portrayed ALF in the self-titled 1980's TV series; and Ron Mason, legendary Michigan State University hockey coach; have both died at the age of 76.

Henry McCullough: Former Wings Guitarist Dies at Age 72, Agent Confirms

McCullough died Tuesday, his agent said. Over his 55-year career, he played with Paul McCartney, Joe Cocker, Jimi Hendrix and Pink Floyd and appeared on Wings' "My Love" and “Live and Let Die."

Rubén Aguirre: Actor Dies Following Complications From Diabetes

 

 

 

 

Edgar Vivar, Aguirre’s co-star on the Mexican television show "El Chavo del 8" announced the news on Twitter Friday morning. The 82-year-old’s wife said earlier this month his health was failing.

We are sad to report that Romper Room's Miss Mary Ann King died. Long after she left the children’s television show Romper Room, King continued to carry her Magic Mirror, a prop she peered through to list the names of the special viewers at home. She brought it with her on errands later in life for the people who never heard their name on air and she never stopped reminding people how special they are. RIP Miss Mary Ann. You will be missed by so many of us who grew up watching you.
