From what it seems by looking at the schedule, ExpressO is a rush hour bus with limited stops and 9 trips out of Longueuil per day, in PM rush only.

http://www.citvr.ca/src/pdf/HExpressO2011sept.pdf

What a dumb name! What's wrong with regular route numbers? Same goes for their ACCES line.

At least on the citvr.amt.qc.ca website, they give them real numbers.

Hope you guys got pictures of buses with MRC Les Moulins written on them because they changed their name to URBIS!!! WTF! Can anyone says PUBIS! hahaha Big name change FAIL!

http://www.larevue.qc.ca/actualites_transp...rbis-n22033.php

Fail of the Year.

So urbis, in Latin is a variation on urbs which means city -- according to that press release.

Whatever, ultimate fail according to the CIT Guy.

Not necessarily. Those buses belong to La Quebecoise and I don't know if they will sell off their buses to Transbus for the new service. As I mentioned in the quotes above, the new garage is on Poliquin Blvd in Sorel. I'm sure it will not be hard to find it.

BTW the new garage is just RIGHT BEHIND the current La Quebecoise facility in Sorel.............it's already built up and finish during my visit there last month

Surprised Transbus didn't buy them in the transfer of Sorel service or maybe they will!? Anyways, I wonder what will happen with the Duponts and two Orion V's..

One problem I find is their LFS on some of the units don't have w/c ramp!

Some of their Dupont Cartiers could be included in these six being sold here.

Looks like the junk buses La Quebecoise had running on the employee Casino shuttle. I don't think it's the Sorel Duponts as they all seem to be running still. I see them everyday at Longueuil metro still along with the two Orion V's.

At least one of the CITSV Dupont Cartiers has been whitewashed; at least one of the suburban LFS has its decals removed. This morning one of the Orion Vs had a test message on the Luminator (check something)

Ex-SURF 624-21-5 sighted in St-Bruno this morning. This bus for CITVR has also been whitewashed.

Thanks for the TIP!

correct me if I were wrong, just wondering if the "NEW" building behind the old La Quebecoise facility at Sorel, is actually the new terminal for CIT Sorel buses, or is that the new garage facility for Transbus(the new CIT Sorel Contractor)..........I know that new building is for CIT Sorel but just wondering if that is a new TERMINAL or a garage facility......thank you

I just took a peek at the CITSV website, two itsems to note:

New terminus in Sorel will be open on 2 April

Also on the same date, new schedules will be available. kellergraham take note. I hope that there will be service improvements and not cuts. I am betting that the D60LFs won't last beyond this date for the lease but if they do I sure won't complain!

Not many of the ex-OC artics around anymore. The last few days I only saw 1457 and 1458. Those small cut-a-way buses Transbus bought took most of them off the road now.

Should be mentioned that OMIT Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu will be testing an Alexander Dennis Enviro500 double decker bus for a few months. Yes everyone's first reaction why and WTF! Don't ask but fail is the word your looking for. People of St Jean are already upset that they will have to be let off and picked up outside 1000 de la Gauchetiere, as a double decker bus does not fit inside the Place Bonaventure terminus. Press release in french only: http://www.canadafrancais.com/edition-Internet/index.php/2012/05/03/cf/actualite/a-lessai-cet-automne/

I heard that the clearance is 14 feet for the terminus and that a certain Van Hool model could make it into the TCV.

Can't wait to hear more on that.

Wow there seems to be a lot going on in the Montreal area! Wondering if the double decker has been placed in service or not? It's really awkward as the double decker won't fit in TCV and they are still testing it? I guess STL(laval), or even RTC(Quebec City) would have more suitable routes for it to operate instead of OMIT Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu

The Van Hool model is too heavy according to the MTQ, so that's out. It might be a low deck version of the Dennis but not sure. If they demo the same bus that was on display at one of the Laval metro stations a few months ago, that will not fit inside TCV.

Wondering if the double decker has been placed in service or not?

The article says sometime in the fall.
