Why would the STM want to give away its best buses to some foreign transit company that doesn't even exsist yet! They deserve what they are getting..

Another man's junk is another man's treasure. They only need buses to test the routes, they don't need bus models specifically to evaluate.

Thanks for telling me the mistakes, I was in conversation with that driver when I read that, It's not #16-055 it's 16-155, He don't know about #16-041, but he said if it's not 16-164 he think it was #16-104. Anyway, I told him to look carefully.

Thanks though Classic9401 having someone inside the company to keep us updated. I am infact quite surprised that these buses made it all the way passed Trois-Rivieres on their own power without breaking down or catching fire along the way.

It depends if you saw #16-104 before 05h45pm??? If it was before 05h45pm, well #16-104 could be here since the buses are leaving Montreal between 05h30pm and 06h00pm. But, if you saw it after 05h45pm, it wasn't #16-104 that is in Becancour.

They are actually leasing buses for theirs tests, but it looks like they are testing the buses also and maybe they could purchase a few units...

The mechanics received a little training to repair theses buses, but they don't have the equipment to repair theses buses. So since the first gens are breaking down often, they prefer to change the buses everyday.

It was recently repainted, and the front appears to be from a retired 9-0XX, as it only had one vent on it. Plus, the rear fleet number had been applied incorrectly; it read C-9413.

I don't have the list of buses for tomorrow yet.

*: #0201 had to be exchanged this morning at 09h00, as it was doing route #2 Sanctuaire. One of the tires did litterally exploded, after passing on a train track, on Bd. Du Saint-Maurice, a few seconds earlier. I took a picture of the bus waiting for the STTR tow truck to come and tow it back to the garage, as I was going to Couche-Tard between my 2 shifts.

That's very interesting! It makes this bus even more special.. The driver even said it was a GM, but I didn't believe it from the MCI letters on it, but it looks like it really is..

Got pics. I took the metro to HB and RAN to my friends house to borrow her camera at freakin' 2245, but i got pics!

Mechanic said it might just be low trasmission fluid, and we shouldnt worry. 'We'll take good care of it.'

Still, nice pics outside though. And you even got the driver (mechanic) to play with the balios disc. Good to see it\'s still plugged in and operating. I haven\'t seen one in operation since our 59-019 charter a few years ago.

It could be nothing, but it\'s also good that the driver didn\'t try to operate it with that message and that they towed it rather than drive it back to the garage. Even though it probably would have been able to make it back on it\'s own power, it could have permanently damaged the transmission. We do have something to look forward to, if the body and frame of the bus is good and it\'s not a serious problem, it\'ll be back on the road shortly, if it\'s a major problem, the bright side is that there are lots of Nova Classic transmissions to choose from in all the retired buses parked at all the garages with fully functioning equipment.

Nice pictures there Ayeobe. Good thing the driver was smart and stopped using it. Running vehicles with low amounts of any fluid isn't a good idea.

56901 is a 2007 LFS according to my notes.

34804 is a 2004 Nova RTS. When it was last spotted by SMS in July 2008, it was running for St-Jean. Did you get any pictures when it called out to you ??

Novabus is not doing any RTS since mid-2002, so It can't be a 2004 unit, unless it would be a Dupont Victoria, but I don' think so.
