Just got off #8205 a short while ago. Great bus! Vibrates a lot when revving just like the XN40's. Also vibrates a lot when going at a high speed. Very quiet too. Sounds like a mixture of Nova and XN40. Feels and smells like an XN40. Despite the vibrating it ran beautifully on 14th Street, Crowchild, and Glenmore! Slow acceleration but otherwise, it's overall a good bus. Got a long video recording that I will upload later. For now, here are some photos of #8209 just taken at Brentwood:

Looks like #8211 is also on the 20 today (I could be wrong but I spotted it southbound on 14th Street heading towards Heritage drive as I was on #8205). More photos to come.

Confirmed. #8211 was also on the 20, and it was the next bus after #8205.

Now, as promised:

Also, I forgot to mention this above, but it also appears that these buses do not have the CAD system installed yet (at least not #8205)...

Metro says:

Platform shoes, bell-bottomed jeans and Farrah Fawcett haircuts were all the rage in 1978 when Calgary Transit rolled out its GMC bus fleet.

After racking up 1.5-million kilometres, the last of that classic armada was retired last week with a sleek new line coming out.

On Friday, reporters got to tour one of 150 new 40-foot rigs.

Not exactly true.... The GMCs have were introduced in 1961, not 1978.

The model shown is a 1978.

8211 is on the 20, will be at Brentwood heading to Heritage in 5-10 minutes.

If everyone could post times/locations with their spottings, that would be very helpful. :) Thanks.

Edit 5:00: 8206 is the 5:00 departure from 78th Ave.

8209 should be the 5:15 departure from 78th Ave.

#8210 left MRU northbound on the 20 a few minutes ago. #8209 is two buses ahead of #8210.
