BC Transit 0001-0018

Revision as of 13:22, 20 January 2019 by Articulated (talk | contribs) (Updating based on January 2019 fleet roster)

BC Transit 0001-0018 are 11.3-metre (approx. 35-foot) Dennis Dart SLF buses with Plaxton Pointer 2 bodies built in 2000. The lighter and more compact buses were ordered for use on routes in lower density areas. At the time the buses were ordered, no North American manufacturer produced buses matching the specifications BC Transit required.[1]

The 18 buses were originally allocated to various B.C. communities. Three units (0003, 0005, 0006) were moved to Victoria in December 2011, and were renumbered to 9088, 9090, and 9091 respectively, to match the fleet numbering of existing Darts in Victoria. All other units in this series retain their original fleet numbers.
