Do you like it Pat? Goodbye Mediterranean Blue since 1974! 35 years of great livery now over.

Does anyone know if they'll be doing this on the entire fleet, the newer buses, or just on the new arrivals? Because it would be a very interesting sighting to see a Classic with a new livery, perhaps with the new rebuilds that are going on with the 14's and 15's?

No, it will be all new deliveries getting the new paint scheme. The STM doesn't have the money to repaint anything... In the end if you think about it, the STM is getting 1000 new buses by 2011, so right there 2/3 of the fleet will be in new colors. By 2011 the oldest buses will be the 21 series most likely and even if there were a handfull or less of classics by 2011, it's not worth painting a bus for 3 years or less of service. All this being said, I'd love to see a classic in the new scheme, but it won't happen..

Yeah because until we start getting fleet expansion buses with the construction of a new garage as projected in the PTI, this means the death of Classics, but really they should be killing off lemon gens.

However, it does have me feeling a bit worried about our Classics...

Doesn't matter really, as we know there will be almost none left by 2011.. So stock up on the pics as much as possible <_<

We are killing them off with the 410 LFS replacements for the 1st gens over the next 3 years.. We won't have to see those trash buses after that!

Don't forget guys: the STCUM didn't buy buses between 1996 and 2000 inclusively. Nothing happened. There is no series between the 15s and the 21s. <_<

And here's just the tip you Classic lovers need to know for a great start to the summer... tap Museum Day bus action!

Oh ya u can bet on that!

For sure I'm going to be there for Museum Day, I'm still trying to book the day off, but I better be there. Possibly one of the last years of majority Classic service for this event.

And the new 29's that arrive will probably be replacing all the lost 14's 15's and 1st gens that are missing from service now. Plus there are still a bunch of 14's and 15's getting complete overhauls, so I wouldn't write them off just yet, they'll still be around for another good 5 years or so. (hopefully).

Come on, stop teasing... Let us see the pic! :-)

My next STM update on my site will have the pics of the 29's in the new >> livery. I was waiting for nicer weather like tomorrow to get more pictures and make one big update. I'm going to try and find 031, 032 and 034 tomorrow. I have the other two 033 and 035 with the new >> livery in photo already.
