  1. Oh! Speaking of which, have they constructed a D30LFR yet?
  2. Ah, alrighty. It'd be nice to see 39 go to the Fort Rouge station as well as the 95. The 39 going there instead of downtown would increase the Rapid Transit brand, and make the route ALOT more frequent and fuller (Along with making it more of an Park-and-Ride). Waiting at 360 Main for the 55 today, I saw one go by completely empty
  3. How feasible is it, to have a Crosstown South? Bridgwater Forest - South Pembina - Aldgate - Sage Creek? 30 or 45 min frequency, 6 am - End of Service?
  4. Too bad we dont have any regular-fleet Arbocs. Could order lets say... 4, and test them on 4 different routes: - 24 between 7 pm to End of Service - Dart 101 - 98 and - 82?
  5. Maybe we should try two options: LRT - MTS Centre via Exchange to the Forks, as a trial BRT - U of W to Jubilee Opinions?
  6. I wonder if the Route Map will be revised from whats currently on the RT side
  7. Since this is the first time I've seen one since July, lets make a thread for spotting and news! That and random facts 3:35 pm 905 - Route 17 Unknown - Turning left on Main from Portage
  8. Apparently, a train broke down on 7th Avenue around 1:30 to 2:25
  9. I'm leaving at Saturday night. BOO Although I did get to hear the air rumble and ground shake when they blew up Winnipeg Arena... twice...
  10. Hm, I wonder how possible it'd be for Gimli to have a transit service. Theres Fraserwood, the former RCAF base/industrial park, Seagrams/Crown Royal plant, the city itself and possibly more newer homes on the south side along with condominiums on the northern side. Lets say... 2 routes, 4 cut-aways (2 spare) and two D35LFRs (one spare) during peak hours or the Icelandic Festival? It'd be nice to have a ride around town during that time of the year!
  11. Agreed. In Winnipeg: - 24, seen drivers run into Burger King (11 pm) - 21, seen drivers run into the Whytewold McDonalds to pee (7 pm) - 602 (Red River Ex, havent seen a D40 that late since I was a kid in 2000) guys in line waiting for McDonalds (10:30 pm) - 15 and 20, I bet the driver sometimes runs in there for Harveys or Tims as well (could be anywhere from 6 am to 1:30 am) Its not just an Calgary thing!
  12. I might've spotted 1862 doing the 47 at Chinook station, roughly 3-4 pm and maybe again around 5:45
  13. I'd hate to be the person driving 137, its pretty much 15/5/15/5/15/5...
  14. At least you guys have numbers that people know about and peace officers with the power to do something. I've seen some pretty pissed off customers on Winnipeg Transit, particularly the 21 where this guy with a bike on the bus when it was packed (why I dont know), decided to start yelling random obscenities in my face and annoy everyone else. Horrible 15 minutes before work
  15. Ah Alrighty. I just remember SpeakUpWinnipeg mentioning a Rapid Transit plan for around this time, and thats the first thing i thought of when i read this!
  16. I think this may be related to SpeakUp Winnipegs Transit planning
  17. If I'm still in Winnipeg, I'd take rapid transit. Kinda hard to find a parking spot in Osborne Village, and I have no car to begin with!
  18. It'd be interesting to see an ETS-like scheme, with red on the top and blue on the bottom
  19. I once saw an D30LF on the 11 at peak time PM
  20. Ah alrighty. Wonder what the 2012 order might look like, or this newer RT scheme
  21. My guess for 10 st demolition: 201 - same 202 - Crowfoot to McKnight?
  22. Fourth picture looks ALOT like Airdries ICE, in my opinion
  23. I'm an 18 year old, no drivers license and part-time. I cant exactly do that
  24. They were originally going to have it underground in 1980, but scrapped it due to budgetary concerns (we all know what that turned out for Edmontons LRT Expansion after the Downtown tunnels)
