Someone who can edit the wiki, please add these things to the KT wiki (not the photos but the information i am about to give)

Went in for a tour today (2023-08-02) and 1049 is a goner, 0945 is toast, 0944 is in storage, 0835 is a auction off, and 0836 is in storage.

Reasoning for these accusations and proof:

0835 had its GPS removed and most KT Accessories removed.
1049 has MULTIPLE parts missing that have been used and the bus does not start or move
0836 had its GPS when I was in for the tour, and it was the first bus under the canopy (infront of 0835) and has been there since Last Winter.
0942 is currently in repair
and 1901 was getting some electrical issues worked out

1049 Photos:

To those reading: Soon you will be able to pay your fare with debit or credit onboard Kingston Transit with new Fareboxes!

Kingston Transit will have the following plans for there older fleet:

0835 and 0836 have been parked out back beside the Storage Garage Out of Sight

0942 Is currently parked closer outside to the Coach Canada Bus Terminal in Storage as far as I know.

0944 Is currently parked under the canopy with two mirrors missing but currently retains its license plates, I talked to the Parts Guy recently about it and he said he'd just ordered multiple parts for that Coach 0944

Now for the D40LFR series, Me personally I don't think these are gonna be retiring anytime soon thankfully, but they are 14 years old, But they for sure got another year or even two left.

If you got any questions I may be able to assist you, I work in KT's Fleet Services Department.

Alrite folks, Got an update on 0835 and 0836, so from what I heard from the boss-man 0836 is retired its lost its driving capabilites from when I looked inside of it, While 0835 is in storage and it had a weird tag on the steering wheel that was green and said '''Novabus, Prevost, Volvo - Warranty'' anyone know what that could mean? I only work in the Wash lane and detailing so.

Saw 2107E and 2108E today, they have been unwrapped from the green electric bus livery and are in the regular express livery, missing the X over the window like 1482.

Fleet Status as of Mar 11 2024:

D40LF Statuses:

0942 (On Hoist, after repair will be put in storage, This is all from the boss-man by the way so if someone can for me please edit the CPTDB Wiki for accuracy.

0835 Currently in Storage missing some parts but from what I am being told is in storage because it would be easy to put back on the road if needed.

0836 Retired - To many parts removed, due for KIMCO sometime this month, Will alert everyone when its officially been removed from Transit property.

0944 Some parts missing, Currently in Storage.

1049 Has now been deemed beyond repair and has been used as a parts bus since Last year, It is due to go over to KIMCO this month as well.

0944 should come back eventually to as a Spare.

0836 is in Storage, but in the coming months will go up for auction

0942 has passed safety inspection, Should be on the road by thursday, still have a couple issues regarding the a/c and the compressor to fix up.

1049 Will be dragged into the shop sooner rather then later for repairs of the Crankcase, Consat, New set of brakes.

0836 and 0835 will remain in storage as Kingston Transit is currently running on a 20% Spare ratio which means only buses we'll be running right now are 0942 and 0944.

0944 has a seized up compressor and a single dead battery, Able to be boosted though we were able to get her started 2 weeks ago.

Kingston Transit 1253 has been listed for disposal for the end of this year.

This does not mean the bus will be sent to KIMCO Asap, it means that this bus will simply be put as a Spare unit or be decommissioned.
