How many days are spent at Hillcrest before moving to your assigned division?

And, what day do you actually start driving the bus?

No one?

During the info session I was told January but the HR rep who presented me the xonditional said February.

My Conditional Offer was on May 10, and, I start training on September 13. So just about 4 months.

That would put you into January, but, with the Christmas Holidays I would imagine that things get pushed back.

Good morning to all! Just received a call for documentation on Sept 27.

Our neighbor is kind enough to let me shadow how the airbrakes work on their crane truck (for construction), is it the same airbrakes on the bus?

Yes more or less the same

Now I may getting paranoid... in the interview they said that I would hear either way in 4-6 weeks. It's going on week 7 and still nothing.

Do they normally contact you even if you were unsuccessful in the interview?

Yes

Quite excited for the documentation day, Sept 27. Didn't expect it to be at Hillcrest yard which I happened to see a bit of it last week just for curiosity as to  how a ttc garage look like. Can't wait...???

Is there a parking nearby?

Directly south of the yard there is an $8 parking lot but it fills up early in the morning.

I parked at the Loblaws on Davenport and walked over on my Documentation day.

@ME TOO mine was within a week after I got interviewed. It's done by a third party, Mintz Global Screening formerly called Garda Background Screening Solutions.

When was your info. session? Goodluck to you and to us all?

I have questions regarding airbrake system tests for the bus ; are the following part of the tests?:

> testing a tractor (towing vehicle ) protection valve

> testing the automatic application of the trailer spring brakes

I thought those two above are applicable to trucks?

Please confirm.

Thank you all again. Enjoy the rest of your weekend?

No.  You just need to study the air brake for buses.

As for the c test, they dont use any bua routes.  They make you to do many turns.  Some  turns are tight.

  • Thanks 1
