  1. Like I said, it's confirmed that Arrow Road will now take over the 119 TORBARRIE from Wilson along with the new 166 TORYORK. The last Wilson buses to operate the 119 were: #3504, #3510, #3589, and #7033.
  2. Seeing a 66xx on 25 with the same number is a throwback and tribute to the 91 Vs on the same route. Until Sep 2000, the 66xx used to run on the 34.
  3. Welcome home to Malvern, again, #6068... It's been 18 years since the last iteration was in service but I would like to see it running on the 131 again. If @Bus_Medic was around, that bus along with #6133 were the last surviving D901s to run until 2007.
  4. Just like the old 131F used to be. Except stops should be added on Midland, Brimley/Eglinton, Seminole/Deerfield, Lawrence, St. Andrews/Applefield, Brimorton/Waterfield, Ellesmere, Borough. I have ridden a 86/116/905 bus to Kennedy and the traffic there is a hot mess on Midland and Eglinton thanks to construction in the past couple of days. They might as well make changes to both the 20 CLIFFSIDE and 57 MIDLAND since both routes are affected by major detours and massive delays. To fix this and avelliate the traffic in that area, have the 20 and 57 operate one single, continuous route with the 57 extended to Main Street Station and the 20 being suspended along with a new short turn branch going to Lawrence during rush hours. Anyone wants to go to Kennedy must transfer to any routes on Eglinton (12, 21, 86, 116).
  5. I saw the 386 SCARBOROUGH NIGHT notices on the Danforth/Eglinton stop. Even once Line 5 opens, I wonder if the 34 EGLINTON merger would be scrapped and 32 and 34 stays as is. If they were to keep the 32 to Eglinton Station, some trips as 32B would end at Mount Dennis Station. Same with the 34, unless they bring back the branch that ran to Kingston Road as 34B that was cancelled in 2014 when the 116B took over. They could at least bring back the 36A short turn branch to Kipling. The 36A which will become the 36, could have also be renamed to 136 FINCH CENTRAL instead. Having read the ASP, the 128 number is freed up so they bring back the 21A and 21B branches as routes 21 BRIMLEY and 128 BRIMLEY NORTH per report: "Operators recommended reverting to the A/B branch structure to help address current issues." 21 and 128 interline during other periods like in 1999.
  6. It would've be cool if YRT wraps or repaints one of their buses into its OG livery for its 25th anniversary like this one for nostalgic purposes:
  7. Montreal transit strike: Tribunal reviews essential services for upcoming STM walkout From what I read, many organizations are concerned to look into which essential services must be maintained during the strike by 4,500 STM bus drivers and Metro operators, but since November 1, there were no essential services provided at all.
  8. delete
  9. Atlanta Airport has two K9Ms in service. Long Beach has 29 BYDs and LACMTA has over 105 BYD buses in service. Antelope Valley Transit Authority operates over 80-ish BYD models as well. The TTC can give LA County all ten BYDs.
  10. That was quick. I wonder if all blue lights, Presto readers, seats, CAD/AVL systems could be harvested and removed?
  11. From the looks of it, Arrow Road is likely going to be operating the following routes after Line 6 opens unless that changes: - 37A ISLINGTON* - 119 TORBARRIE - 166 TORYORK - 927 HIGHWAY 27 EXPRESS* * - Potentially operating with articulated buses. Queensway is likely going to be retaining the 37B branch to Steeles. I wonder if the 337 is shared with Arrow and Queensway like old times?
  12. @bus_7246 are there any changes coming up at Arrow? It would appear Arrow Road will likely unload some or maybe most Nova LFS Artics because the 36 will likely lose majority of its runs when Line 6 opens. It's likely the 927 and maybe 37A will take the artics taken from the 36.
  13. It replaced #8522 on run 16 (which started at 2:00pm).
  14. Thanks for the update @bus_7246. Here are the photos of the five buses I took: and as a bonus, I took my last photo of #1373 on 130A MIDDLEFIELD, which was taken just mere two weeks before it retired.
  15. The EMPRESS-CHURCHILL routing was proposed by Councilor Lily Cheng (Ward 18, Willowdale) on page 130 of the 2026 Annual Network Plan. This proposal is aimed to create an east–west connection as an alternative to Lines 1 and 4 service, providing surface transit options for residents and businesses located beyond walking distance of nearby rapid transit stations. It was also intended to improve bus service for students traveling to several schools in the area. The proposal would operate from Leslie Station, south on Old Leslie St , west on Esther Shiner Blvd, north on Billes Hts, west on Sheppard Ave E, north on Burbank Dr, south on Bunty Ln, west on Citation Dr, continue on Empress Ave, North on Yonge St, west on Churchill Ave, north on Strafford Rd, west on Horsham Ave, north on Bathurst St, west on Finch Ave W, and south on Goldfinch Ct. A map of what would the route will look like is attached below: This route would need two buses and would run in a 25 minute headway. Wilson Bus would be responsible for the EMPRESS-CHURCHILL operation. Here's an idea: Rip down a dozen homes to build a bus terminal for the 51, 56 and 88. Otherwise the option is to have the 51 LESLIE and 56 LEASIDE buses loop west on Parklea, north on Sutherland and east on Eglinton.
  16. You can add #6651 now as it entered service on 11A BAYVIEW starting its southbound trip on run 3 from Sunnybrook Hospital to Davisville Station at 6:04 am.
  17. Here's the map I made @Mind_the_gap: Introducing the 124 DON VALLEY VILLAGE. This route will run from Leslie Station to Victoria Park replacing the services on 10/169A on Van Horne and 24B/167A on Consumers, but will not enter the Don Mills Station Bus Terminal. The 151 label is likely removed. Scarsdale routing is well suited for the Community Bus service.
  18. I'm getting the feeling the 162 LAWRENCE-DONWAY extension would still be a go while the 51B routing will be approved. Perhaps the 119 is shared with Arrow and Wilson? They haven't shared a small route like the 107 KEELE NORTH since the 1990s. If the 151 LESLIE NORTH is scrapped due to budgetary woes and the 51/56 merger isn't happening even when Line 5 opens, they can maintain the same routing as now, except the main 51 is renamed to 51A. If the merger is scrapped post Line 5, the 51 branches could've gone like this: - 51A Eglinton Station-Steeles and Don Mills via Leslie Station - 51B Eglinton Station-Don Mills and Lawrence - 51C Eglinton Station-Leslie Station As well, the 56B is reinstated, connecting to Laird Station, albeit in a two-way service on Brentcliffe. However, the Scarsdale routing on the 151 is better off as a Community Bus route instead around the York Mills, Don Valley and Bayview Village areas. Rachel Chernos Lin and Jon Burnside, the two councilors, could float an idea of the Community Bus route. When the 178 BRIMORTON was rejected, the TTC instead created the 406 in its place except it does not serve Brimorton between Brimley and McCowan.
  19. #6641 is now formally to enter service on the 54B LAWRENCE EAST as its beginning its westbound trip to Eglinton Station on run 17 which began at 6:10 am.
  20. It feels like I'm going back to 1997-1998. The same number which was then a 1991 V was out of Birchmount when it operated the 34 jointly with Eglinton (who then took over sole operation from September 2000; the garage was on Yonge). @FlyerD901
  21. And that's the last of them. With the BYDs to be on their way out, that will leave Comstock with just Nova diesels and electrics. New Flyers will return one day once Arrow gets more new buses.
  22. I wonder if all 60 of the trial eBus fleet would be sold for scrap or sold off to other transit systems? In the case of the 3700-series Flyers, the 25 units could be returned to New Flyer and repowered into to hybrid or diesel propulsion (this was the case of Edmonton's DE40LFR fleet converted to diesel) and get sent back to the TTC afterwards with new rear endcaps.
  23. The 3700s aren't going anywhere. They, and the 6000s sisters, are getting their batteries replaced due to a factory recall.
  24. I wonder if the MDBF or MTBF applied to both trolley buses and CNG buses as well if those were around... Apparently my friend, like @smallspy said, the 100-bus orders were heavily CNG low floors that the NDP government forced the TTC to purchase 100 94xx-series Orion VI CNGs in 1994 because Orion did not have a low floor bus built just yet. Took them too long, then cut the order in half that became the Orion Vs. Another 100 buses ordered but those are RTS WFDs; but cut to 52 and New Flyer built and delivered 51 D40LFs and had one 1st gen LFS demo. Because of the early retirement of the IIIs, the TTC appealed to the NDP/PC to allow an emergency order of high floor buses before the transit funding was cut off by Harris. The 1996 order was won by NovaBUS for the 135 Classics, but it fell through through the order was changed to 135 Orion Vs to replace all the 90 IIIs. If MDBFs even existed in the 2000s, they could've measured the 482 slow boxes the TTC got between 2003 to 2005 after Orion won the contract in 2001. The 2019 batch is still running from Birchmount. All of Arrow Road's remained MIA.
