  1. Here’s the news article. It’s quite long but near the bottom it mentions the routes. I imagine keeping them on just these routes is their idea of a slow break in since the routes all run fairly close to eachother more or less at least from Downtown towards UVic https://islandsocialtrends.ca/bc-transit-announces-125-electric-buses-with-62-destined-for-victoria/
  2. A news story i read said they’ll be on 14, 15, 27, and 28
  3. I imagine there will still be a net increase in buses given the recent service expansion aswell as they are probably keeping in mind permanent replacements for Pemberton’s Nova Suburban’s. On that note 1149 is now showing up on the Pemberton BCTracker page
  4. I’m guessing 9298 might have been written off after the crash last year. Haven’t seen it around since. Would have been nice to have the suburbans back on the route they were originally purchased for between Squamish and Whistler if BC Transit and the various levels of Government are successful in implementing regional transit later this year
  5. Just beat me to posting. I believe this the expansion that was suppost to happen here in 2021 that has been delayed several times. The new garage is long overdue with buses being cycled through the adjecent Capilano Highways storage lot since the current facility is at capacity. Will also be interesting to see what they do for space if they manage to get the route to Whistler re-instated and a new route to Vancouver started up later this year
  6. 9452 has been back for some time now. 9298 still isn’t back but i’m not sure if it’s retired
  7. It’s very possible they do regular routes on occasion if enough of the regular fleet is out for maintenance. I’ve seen the Handydarts here in Squamish put on conventional routes on very rare occasion though ours don’t have bikeracks
  8. With the recent confidence agreement signed between the BC NDP and Greens, one of the requests from the Greens was that regional transit be implemented or improved across 4 corridors in BC. Phase 1 would start at some point in 2025 and would be the Sea to Sky Corridor with service to be re-introduced between Squamish and Whister and the introduction of service between Squamish and Vancouver. Service between Pemberton and Whistler recently got a significant freqency boost so i’m not sure if there would be a further boost to service on that route or not
  9. 909 decorated, using the decal antlers around the destination sign again
  10. Vicinity 4446 has been transfered to Squamish from Prince George
  11. 17550 back on Bowen Island
  12. Looks like 7443 isn’t retired afterall. Currently out on the 25
  13. The Nova’s haven’t been having much luck lately. A couple days ago 9452 was involved in a major 3 vehicle crash in Victoria and a few weeks ago 9298 suffered significant damage after a collision with a tree in Pemberton. Both photos from local news sources
  14. 23652 is now on Bowen Island. 23651 also still on Bowen so i suspect these are 2 of the replacements rather then the frequent cycling of shuttles this summer
  15. They were running as of an hour ago when i left West Vancouver
  16. 23651 is on Bowen Island
  17. Handydart 2644 has been transfered to Squamish
  18. 17553 is the latest shuttle transferred to Bowen Island. I suspect each one thats been temporarily tranferred there only spends a week or two there as i’ve see 17559 back in Langley since
  19. 17559 is now also on Bowen Island
  20. West Vancouver 909 is now out and decorated on the 250
  21. 9661 also now in West Vancouver
  22. 16120 in West Vancouver
  23. 9818 has been brought down to Squamish from Whistler to be scrapped. 1142 has once again returned to Whistler for the ski season
  24. Driving on the highway past Port Kells today i saw a few plain white Grande West Vicinity CNGs. I‘m guessing these might be for BC Transit?
  25. My guess would maybe be the Grande West Vicinity CNG’s for BC Transit?
