A fight broke out onboard 7924 (on Sheppard West) before it pulled into Sheppard-Yonge station as I was waiting for the 6:45pm Willowdale bus. Involved a bottle, two asian guys (apparently the perp who fled into the subway), one black girl, two TTC workers calling control, and the cops. Yeah, this should qualify as delay and disruption.

Still going on at 9am, from what I heard over the PA. That explains at least two BD trains I saw in service on YUS: 5328-5081-5001 5003-5015-5038 EDIT: 680 just reported that one worker died. RIP.

Nobody wants to pay the extra dollar fee doing things at those kiosks. I fixed the leaking fuel line on the lawnmower for my dad, and he thanked me by shredding the wires to my solar panel array with it.

Hong Kong's (Sarah) Lee Wai Sze won bronze in women's keirin that saw UK, China, HK and Canada in the same field. Canada's Monique Sullivan was 6th. It has been 15 years since the three flags were raised at the same time, and 8 since HK won a medal at regular Olympics. FY. I gotta start biking to work again.

Today at the livegreen festival, at the "inorganic" booth that does electronics recycling: Booth lady: What do you do with your old electronics? Me: I keep them around for parts... I do my own repair. Booth lady: ...... Later today, I pointed a heat gun at the northbridge chip in my dead laptop and managed to revive it - again. (This isn't the first time I had to do it; I have the infamous HP tx1000 laptop.) I then proceeded to boot it and wrote this post on it.

I haven't seen it, but I wouldn't be annoyed by it either. I bought one the day it came out, and I haven't seen any ads. Mobilicity's first ever TV ad, on the other hand, was rated stupid even by people already using them. I just chuckled.
