TheMaritimeMan
I received word that four new buses, numbered 8171 through 8174, have arrived in Fredericton. No word yet on what RTS's they will displace.
ROSeaboyer
Saw 8171 out this afternoon while the ReadyPass app called it 8021, so that sounds like a probable candidate for being retired, at least.

You beat me to it. Just came to announce that 8021 has indeed been retired. 8981, 8982, and 8983 will also be retired once 8172, 8173, and 8174 enter service. Didn't know 8171 was on the road already, so that's good to know!
ROSeaboyer
8172 is out, and by checking ReadyPass again, 8982 has also been replaced at this point.
TheMaritimeMan
Thanks for the report! I also saw 8172, yesterday afternoon. I don't have ReadyPass due to lack of a compatible phone, so thanks for reporting what RTS's are being replaced. I'll start updating the wiki later. Edit: Wiki pages updated. There's something melancholy about having to change the introductory sentence of a bus's Wiki page to past tense..
ROSeaboyer
New bus out: 8173, spotted this afternoon while checking in as 8983 on ReadyPass.
TheMaritimeMan
Wiki updated; thanks. 8981 is the last remaining Fredericton Transit bus with both a Detroit Diesel engine and an Allison transmission.
ROSeaboyer
The last of the 4 new buses (8174) has been spotted, which officially makes 8981 retired.
ROSeaboyer
FYI - there's a cutaway missing from the list; 8122, looks as though it might be the same as 8142, but I'll try to get a better glance the next time I see it out and about. ROSeaboyer
8991 has officially been retired; I spotted 8181 this morning and the readypass app is showing it as 8991.
ROSeaboyer
The same fate appears to have occurred for 8992, marking the end of the RTS in Fredericton. 8182 started service last night. I'm pretty sure this order for Fredericton is 4 LFSes, and they appear to be configured the same as 8171-8174.
ROSeaboyer
UPDATE: Fredericton has their new order of buses in service; I spotted 8183 the other day and 8184 tonight. By checking ReadyPass, 8184 is replacing 8042, meaning that 8183 would be replacing 8041 and that all Fredericton buses are now fully accessible. Would we be able to get the wiki updated to state as much?
97SCT
I have learned 8041 has been acquired by Transit Cape Breton. Any idea if 8042 was sold to them as well?
ROSeaboyer
Fredericton has a new accessible vehicle for their Dial-a-bus service, numbered 8201. I’m assuming that this means 8113 has been retired, leaving 8142 and 8122 as their others
ROSeaboyer
Well, 8121 is more than likely retired after a fire started in the engine compartment. CBC article
ROSeaboyer
Fredericton Transit put a picture of a new bus on Facebook recently, numbered 8221. Not sure if this is to replace the burned-out 8121 or was a previously-planned order.
ROSeaboyer
To follow up, 8221 is now in service, plate of LCS 237 for whoever is able to add it to the wiki. The tracker is from 8054, making me believe that bus has been retired

ROSeaboyer
8222 is now active; my assumption is that 8221 was originally ordered to retire 8054, but with 8121's engine fire last summer, 8222 was sent up as the replacement for that and 8054 stayed in service until 8222 arrived. I didn't see the plate on 8222 while I was out, but I'll keep an eye out for that if I come across it in the next little while
