I have heard rumors from my co-workers at OC Transpo that 6399 is on property. This should mean that the four new D60LFs would be numbered in the 6399-6402 set. I'll swing by the garage later to check this out.

I have just learned that Lancaster Garage was leased temporarily to hold only 35 buses (but held more if bunched together like I was told)

It got retired instead. =D

OC Transpo bus jam. This is usually a common scene in downtown, not at Hurdman Station.

I not sure what the case is with the OGs but I know with the NGs, if you tow it from the front, you have to remove the rear axle shaft. Gervais Towing in Ottawa have now refused to tow any OC Transpo Hybrid vehicles because in the past, they towed 5006 from the front without removing the rear axle shaft and it resulted in expensive damages.

Oh god, those things break down all the time. Always having issues with the radiator and engine. Interior seating layout is terrible. The way the bus was put together is crap. That can be adjusted.

Afaik, the 2003 D60LFs are not "rusted out buckets". Mainly from what I have worked on, the early 60xx and some 61xx D60LFs are rusting, but thats only the frame of the bus and they get viewable when they escape between fiberglass panels.

So because you assume, you have to make it sound like a fact, correct? I only saw one D40 today on Albert/Bank.

So your saying all the D40s are going to be retired by next week? Let's see your sources, until then, I don't believe you.

They are much easier to work on too. The entire Engine, Transmission, Battery and Radiator (is on an angle and a lot bigger) set up is a lot organized than on the 50 Series powered D60LF.
