Sad, sad news... 14-075, one of my fav classics, was at Radisson at 2210.. @Radisson 14-075 044- 2208 It was to be the 2153 departure. Trasmission light went off. "DO NOT SHIFT" sat untill towed @about 0120.. Got pics. I took the metro to HB and RAN to my friends house to borrow her camera at freakin' 2245, but i got pics! Mechanic said it might just be low trasmission fluid, and we shouldnt worry. 'We'll take good care of it.' R-bus Metro-Bus Dash/gear shift area... Sorry for the blur. On the dash the transmission light is lit up, and the gear select is all "DO NOT SHIFT" Sad news, mixed in with a glimmer of hope.. THANKS go to the driver, and mechanic, who messed around with controlls for me to take good pics! even HELPED me use the un-familier camera!!
  2. It was 12-029, half the zero gone in the rear. I think they replaced the panel on the dash with that of a Nova, because it dosnt look like the rest of the dash..

  7. Mon, Aug 3rd 12-080 SPEC 1338 @ AN @Joliette metro 12-065 067N 1422 12-067 067N 1440 12-020 5X5? 1445 List of active 12's seen today.. as written in my Palm
  8. I learned, first hand aswell, that Papineau is a sweet spot, no mater what time it is... i think ill be taking the 15 right out of work from now on, to take a classic on the 45. I rode 14-171 on the 167. Took crushload in stride!
  9. No classics today, so i didnt write anything down ... 28-013 on the 44 again. Has a little SL sticker on the front, low on the stripe, about where the FR sticker would be. and STM's 22-232, the bus they used in many many pictures and ads, on the 44. It has a scrape runnin down almost the whole left side of the bus.. and on the blue stripe near the back, theres a little panel thats purple, aka from a 1st gen. Thats all..
  10. Prety cool coincidence, then. We got the bus the have hangin' on thier wall in a picture.
  11. ....Kinda off topic, but.. I was just lookin through my pictures of the YUL charter of 8-907, when i noticed this: Note the classic they have as an example. 9-038, the bus i rode wednesday, and the 2009 YUL RTL charter'd bus. Was this on perpose, guys? lol
  12. Hm, i saw 16-001 on the 67 friday night.. Last known STM route it did, i guess? lol Sat, Apr 1st 28-013 044S 2030 13. A WTF moment, acording to Matt, and also a smartassness moment. 28-013 Run#13! I got on it again on the way home, 44N, at 0120, at Anjou Garage Jean-Drapeau--167 13-032, 14-171 GM door @ rear. Rode it. 26-037 167X 2300 Way home 18-035 139S 0037 St cat/pie-ix. DOA, hood up, and not even the hazards were on.
  13. Yeah that would be the idea! and hopefully, if at all possible, we can find out if a bus is HS and going to garage, or if its gunna go some place else, eventually.. I dont realy have any for today, though. Last night 13-041 went from the 45S to 27W. It was going by St-Michelle by 2342. Was leaving Pap. metro at 2200 or so. Ill check for the run number monday.
  14. Hm! i just rememberd something.. I was riding the 194.. some 16-100 type.. and the fare box had a problem, so we stopped for a CO to mess with it.. (this caused me to miss 60-013 D: but thats not the point right now ...) I looked up, and saw non-other then a line of LFS off in the distance, from the 194 stop, wich is nowhere near Anjou garage (not somewhere you'd be able to see it from, anyway). Ive been meaning to check it out.. It was a bunch of 1st gens, STM as far as i could tell.
  15. Mont-Royal, according to a driver, is getting a bunch of classics. Hence 13-041 and two other classics on the 45 past 2200h! We may wana fan all routes served by Mont-Royal in the future, no?! BTW is 13-041 considerd a reg. Service bus? It ran untill the end of service on the 27, i think, last night.. It was awesome.
  16. Yeah, the Newlook and Classic are rivetted together, wich makes it even more like planes.. I think im gunna take the time to study the rivet lines, and assume theres a metal bar under them?
  17. I am as Fishbowl fan as it gets, man! Hell, in 2002 when we lost fishbowls, i was MIA on the busfan scene for a while. Im more of a Fishbowl/Newlook, and Classic (though less, but more now that they're leaving..) then a general bus fan... I think they're brilliant.
  18. Pretymuch, but with the run number too, if possible. For example, i rode Run number 30 on the 44 a few months back, arives at Anjou Garage at 2230, and switches drivers.. new driver drives it untill 0120, ending at Gouin. First Gouin departure is 1108 after the driver gets on... If we could get some info, maybe not all of it, it would lessen the suprises.. Like when 29-109 eluded me /all day/ last friday... ending with it going HS before coming back to my bus stop...
  19. Sweet! Its just OVER NINE THOUSAND!! ...I am going to get a week day off, and go see Tristan more often! That is /sweet/! Roll signs FTW!
  20. Is it possible they'd be in service on Saterday? I dont have anything to do tomorow....
  21. And 4th? lol --- Ah man... why cant they just retire the 1st gens first? Btw is there any idea about the rust underneath the older classics? The driver of 12-072 mentioned that it may be because they're rusted underneath.. Any solid evidence they may be retireing some for that, or is it they're obsession with new shit?
  22. Haha.. 12 hours of fanning... Well i'm gunna be changing my work schedule to working both week-end days, and having a week-day off, so i can do more classic riding, while i can! And do i get a prize? haha Thurs, July 30th, An adition, from a friend of mine: 13-084 027W 0811 seen at St-Michelle and St-Joseph. That makes 43.. She also saw a couple others, but dosnt remember the numbers. Fri, July 31st 15-005 085W 1054@HB (Thanks to my "outsourceing") 13-041 045N 2200! I havnt had a classic this late in a LONG time.. I took the 15E, and saw this! I couldnt pass it up! Swiched driver. New driver was gointo 27 w/ it 25-228 045S 2224 W/ Movement Collectif add on the top left 'La STM Roule Vert' 14-021 045S 2238 26-085 067S 2327 26-084 067N 2327 They intersected, at Jary. Woulda made a cool pic! 13-041 027W 2342 <--- Rode it, again. Driver was like 'WTF?' (i was hangin with a friend who hapened to live on the 27/67) 27-014 047W 0018 Right side fleet # covered by stm 'on se vera plus souvent' ad 13-041 027E 0049 AGAIN! We went to McDs and Tims and then walked up to St-Joseph and went to the bus stop to wait.. and there it was! So there ya have it for today!
  23. Damn man, we need on-the-go info! As it hapens, as it were... Maybe we should put a GPS unit on 60-013... lol
  24. Man... fleet variety is something we're defenetly missing. When the classics are almost all gone.. only LFS?! Nooooo way... Im gunna make suuure to have a perfect, reliable, 20+ year old car by 2012.. Damn. Its as lame, bland and SHIT as it gets! Pleeease let us perchase from somewhere else... if anything, for the releif we'd get from the LFS when getting on it!
  25. So ya dont think its a good idea? It'd be a good understanding of how STM works.. unless you dont wana go there? lol
