  1. Well we don't know, but 0101 is gone and no replacement arrived...
  2. Update 0101 has been deplated in preparation to be shipped out. Was supposed to be sent to PG, but now is being sent to Kitimat. We are expecting another contingency bus to replace it.
  3. As I said BC Transit provides. The buses, and all repairs for them, they also provide things like transfers, riders guides, a lot of incidentals, but the city writes the cheques to the operator for service. Until the city is able to increase the budget, no further expansions. This is in the short term though, as the city does want further expansion.
  4. BC Transit doesn't provide the funding, they provide the buses, and the repairs for same. The funding of the service is provided by the City, and they dont yet have the ability to increase the budget, as they had to provide part of the funding for the FVX. They are working on a budget increase, but aren't there yet.
  5. All I know is that the city would like to expand a bit more, but doesn't yet have the money. Until or unless that changes there will be no need for fleet expansion.
  6. 9743 is back in the line-up, so it must have been minor. Word has come down that 0101 is being transferred to Prince George soon. We already have six buses off site, so I'm not sure what the plan is. 8097 is at Big Rig for rust repair, 9301 and 9723 are at Cullen. 9464 is at Cummins. 9268 and 9064 are in Victoria.
  7. Engine from a bus scrapped in Kamloops, same bus donated it's front axle to 9843
  8. 9268 is in Victoria for an engine, 8097 is in the body shop, 9743 is back on the road today, 9309 is out for engine work, 9723 is out for transmission work.
  9. Side sign on 9738 is working, but bus has been stuck in the shop with an engine issue. Apparently it completely filled the ferry with smoke during its return trip LOL.
  10. 3005 and 3006 are hangar queens, and at a bit over 100,000km they are starting to rattle and clank like an old Dennis.
  11. Update Apparently BCTransit lied to us LOL. After informing us that 9738 was to be scrapped months ago, we received notice that it has been repaired and should have arrived today.(I'll know when I get to work tonite). We prepped 9751 for its return to Victoria last night so it should be back in Victoria by now. 2303 is parked and leaving the fleet, our first Arboc retirement. 9269 is officially a write-off and we will be removing any reusable parts before it will be hauled away for scrap.
  12. 9271 was out for extra time as it also received a new engine. 9719 is actually running pretty well. 9064 in Victoria getting a new floor 9036 @ Cullen for a new engine. 9743 will need a new engine now, or it may be scrapped. Remains to be seen. 9052 in for bodywork @ Big Rig
  13. Apparently it was irreparable frame rust. Basically the bus was ready to snap in half. One day it was in maintenance, and the next it was loaded up and gone. Both buses were taken so quickly, that the shop never got a chance to remove any spare parts.
  14. not too likely, as they have scrapped 8036 and 9738. We are actually short buses right now.
  15. Don't know, but we have been told in Abby that we'll be losing our Dennis' in 18 months.
  16. STILL waiting on an official decision on whether to not to write it off! Meanwhile it's rapidly losing usable parts.
  17. Looked into it and 8036 is gone. Bus had frame rot, and for the first time in recent history BC Transit actually took it off the property before the guys could even pull any parts off. Wish they'd haul 9269 away.
  18. yeah it's been delayed by an inspection of the shop by BC Transit.
