  1. According to someone on metrodemontreal.com/forum (username 14-001), 29-073 was on the 61 today! Pictures are posted here:http://www.metrodemontreal.com/forum/viewt...47&start=40 No << however.
  2. Here's an article from today's Gazette about the hybrids. A part is strangely written if you ask me (see the part I bolded & enlarged) http://www.montrealgazette.com/Technology/...9976/story.html
  3. Oh boy : http://www.noisekills.ca/. Looks like it was created by the person from this article. In other news, the AMT has released its brochure about the escapades en train. There are 15 in total this year (+ the hudson village train). Interesting to see that many more trips depart from Lucien-L'Allier than in previous years. See: http://www.amt.qc.ca/escapades/
  4. Thanks & Thanks! *** 60-013 on the 103X (with the destination sign as "Special") this AM Rush.
  5. Info-Train has been updated!! All it says though is that trains on the D-M line will have 8 cars rather than 10. In other news, they also published information about "public consultations", mainly regarding train delays last winter (overly-exaggerated delays IMO) See: http://www.amt.qc.ca/comm/consultation.asp
  6. Sorry, I suppose sad would have been a better word to use. From a railfan point of view, that is (), it'll be sad to see the GP9s go. But for the average commuter you're right this is a good thing, since the AMT can probably save a lot of money. I wouldn't mind that (from a railfan point of view)!
  7. Disturbing news! It appears the GP9s will be removed from service They will however be kept in reserve. My source? The AMT's notice for tenders regarding refueling locomotives (link here - see page 5) They are doing this in conjuction with VIA Rail Canada. There is no sign of adding in AMT F40 #s 270 and 293 or any ex-GO F59s! *** Also I noticed they only listed 5 EGUs. What happened to 600 and 601?!
  8. Hmm interesting. Thanks for the answer. I guess we'll just have to wait and see if any more will use SOLO.
  9. Hello I'm curious to know what occasional-user cards are available for CITs. So far on my list I have... - CIT Laurentides: Disposable magnetic card - CIT VR: Porte-Monnaie Electronique (transfer) That's all the information I can gather. Do other CITs have (or will have) occasional user cards? Thank you
  10. Hello Has anyone seen NJT 4137 in service? Can anyone comment on its status? Here's a photo of it from the date of the fire in November 2008 : http://www.coderouge.com/interventions/pho...731/orig/26.jpg I wonder how it's doing now. Thanks
  11. 60-013 on the 103 (sighting from about 5 minutes ago.)
  12. If the AMT does acquire some of these F59PHs, I really hope the GP9s aren't retired They are getting quite old now.
  13. May 1, 2009 I saw 29-047 on the 103 during AM rush!
  14. Ah, thank you. The lady at the Longueuil counter told me they didn't print them anymore! Didn't believe that for a second.
  15. Does the RTL publish a system map (with all their routes, like the one on the wall at Terminus Longueuil above the schedule counter, and near the OPUS machines) ? If so, where can I find one? Thank you.
  16. SOLO cards can't have reduced fare tickets on them, can they?
  17. Can anyone please tell me if these buses have OPUS readers and how fare collection works? Thank you, as I have yet to ride one.
  18. Hey, guess what?! 2009 marks the 40th birthday of the Canadian Vickers Gallery-style double-deck coaches! Take note they are a bit older than a lot of the ex-GO coaches! Long live the 900s!
  19. Can anyone tell me what is the point of the proposed Boisbriand branch of the Blainville-Saint-Jerome line? (see page 16 of the above-mentioned document from Feb. 18). If they were to send trains all the way to Lachute, sure, interesting! But this one-station branch has me confused. Thank you
  20. The AMT official system map has now been updated to show the Repentigny-Mascouche line! We may see service on this line within 10 years! (LOL) So long as there are no drastic budget cuts Check it out
  21. I sure was successful! I also got pamphlets for the Valleyfield, Kahnawake and Chateauguay services. The lady at the counter was very polite. I didn't even have to ask twice for anything! If you happen to go out to Angrignon, be sure to get the pass holder and schedule/map pamphlets if you're a schedule collector!
  22. Sightings for Today at approx.17h00 at Angrignon Terminal: - #847 on route 22 - #725 on route 1 Valleyfield Went over there specifically to find a CITSO transit pass holder
