  1. They ARE differences, but not the one I'm looking for. No, that's not the difference I'm looking for. The red front Classics were only like that to fix rust and because OC was too lazy to repaint them completely, which is why you often saw classics in the leaf, stripe or the stripe with the red front end. It surprises me how many "paint jobs" there are for the classics. The grey line classics that were painted back in the stripe livery didn't even have the diagonal line over the back windows.
  2. There is one specific difference between the buses that is in the photo. Try to find it! I just found this difference today. Photos by F.Poon
  3. In my opinion, they looked ugly with the white at the front. The sides look fine, but the front just looked weird. I'm glad they repainted the front as quick as they did.
  4. I randomly found this photo of 9701 today. It was all white istead of grey at the bottom, and the bottom of the front end was also white. Sorry if the photo is crappy, but you still get the gist of it.
  5. If they originally had the V730, why did the rest of the '87s have V731s in them?
  6. All of the '85-'87 classics had V731s if I'm not mistaken. How come 802 has a V730? Was it retrofitted or was it like that before?
  7. It's a refurbishing company. OC usually sends buses there to get repainted/repaired. Also to refurbish in the case of the Inveros.
  8. Does anybody have a picture of it as of recently? I'd like to see what it looks like with the painted wheels. Also, does 802 have a different tailpipe or or am I just seeing things?
  9. Do you (or anyone) know by chance who owns it? Also, did the owner just buy it a few weeks ago?
  10. I already knew that, but I was asking if 8776 ever got repainted in the maple leaf livery before going to Eastway.
  11. Yes, the company is Eastway. They also own 801, previously OC 8768. I wonder if they are going to paint it back in the original OC livery when they preserve it. Just out of curiousity, which scheme was 8776 in originally? The wiki states it was in the leaf livery, but I seriously doubt it.
  12. It would look better if they kept the livery of this bus (Stripe or Maple?) and just took off the OC Transpo markings. I'm suprised this bus is even running considering that the last GM Classic from OC was retired in 2009. It looks to be in good condition.
  13. Didn't all GM classics from OC Transpo have V731s except for 8401-8425? That's great that it is being preserved.
  14. The fleet number of this bus is 802. It came from Eastway. 802 was originally OC Transpo 8772. 801 was originally 8768. It ran on Guelph Transit in 2008. It then went to Peterborough transit in 2013. Also, I looked on the wiki and it says that both 801 and 802 had Allison V730s retrofitted in them instead of having V731s. Can somebody else confirm this? I doubt it. 8021 and 8027 did not exist at OC Transpo at the time.
  15. It looks like the license plate on the front of the bus is G class. Also, this Classic was originally OC Transpo 8772. Edit: I take back what I said. This classic was 8776, not 8772.
  16. An ex OC GM Classic was spotted on June 24, 2017 in a youtube video in Mississauga. It was basically all white. I cannot link it as I am on a mobile device right now, but I will say that it is on Theontariotransit fan's channel if anybody wants to check it out. It looked like it was active. From my understanding, the bus is also getting preserved, apparently. As much as I would like to believe it, it was only a comment on the video, so who knows at this point.
  17. I was looking at pictures of Classics and Vs a while back and I just noticed something that are only on these particular buses. On 84xx to 91xx classics, the pole at the front of the bus next to the farebox was black with a red part on it. On the 93s, the pole was yellow with nothing on it. The Orion Vs on the other hand, every single one has the black pole with the exception of 9256, 9257, and 9258. Those three buses had yellow poles instead. I will post pictures to see what I mean. Here is a picture of 9307. All credit goes to JCL. If you look closely, you can see a yellow pole at the front of the bus. Here is 8938. This bus has the red pole at the front if you look carefully. Again, all credit goes to JCL.
  18. They are probably the most hated bus. Orion VIIs are called "Dybrids" because they broke down, get it??. I have been on two that broke down a year ago, both on the 176 (also known as the 80 now)
  19. Just curious, why are the Nova Classics rated #6?
  20. 1. GM, MCI, and Nova Classics (especially Nova) 2. D40 3. Fishbowls 4. Orion Vs (Very good buses, but the 91s and 92s were rustbuckets)
