There seems to be some sort of police investigation at Yonge and Steeles. Buses are diverting at clark and turning at hilda. I don't know much about it My mom just called me from the bus and said there were problems.

I was taking the subway home tonight at the usual time (5), and I missed 1 train, and the next 2 trains that pull in are crush packed. I barely managed to get into the 3rd train. At every station that we pulled up to, there was a huge crowd of people on the platforms. Was there a problem somewhere on the subway system? I'm just curious because normally I can get a seat at Osgoode instead of pushing my way onto the train. Jeff

I've noticed one subway driver that operates the train with the driver door open. I was just wondering if it is considered intruding, or improper to start talking to the driver while he is operating the train. I talk to the bus drivers, but was uncertain about approaching a train operator. Also, would that be welcomed by the train operator? Thanks for any clarification that you can offer. Jeff

I was on 1393 tonight at Finch Station, and the driver had stepped out of the bus for a bit, and all of a sudden the bus's horn went off, constantly, until the bus driver got back in, and shut the bus off. Is this a common problem with the Orion VII's, and what was the cause of that? Thanks for any clarification. Jeff Also, if the bus driver is a member of this board, I congratulate you on your service, it was great. It was bus 1393 Route 60D at 5:00. You were one of the few cheerful bus drivers that I have seen on the TTC.

I've been taking YRT and Viva for years now, but a new job has me going into Toronto. I know that the 60 and the 53 go to Yonge & Steeles. I tried looking on information, but I couldn't find any on whether the express buses stop at Steeles going northbound from Finch, the one time that I took TTC I seem to remember it not stopping there. Is it just the express buses that do not stop at Yonge & Steeles? Thanks for any clarification you guys can give me. Jeff

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I was wondering, I know that TTC drivers are paid a LOT more than other transit systems (YRT, VIVA, etc.) Just how much does the TTC spend on wages, cause my Dad is always complaining that YRT VIVA drivers get approximately $30, 000 a year, whereas TTC drivers get $60, 000. If this is true, then isn't employee wages killing the TTC and not operating costs?

There have been buses running in the new livery for about 1 month now, or longer. I know that there is at least one, I see it all the time doing the 99. And, yes, it is the gradient colour scheme. I still prefer the old livery, but...

No offense, but do you realize how many students use VIVA to get to York University? A LOT more people than use VIVA purple or Orange to martin Grove... During (3-5), the buses are normally packed to the roof with no room for 1 more person leaving York.

Thanks for the information! The bus had Bio diesel sticker on the back, and a bio diesel test bus plaque near the driver's seat. and it was a VIVA bus (A330?) doing the VIVA blue route around 11:30 northbound, its pretty hard to mistake the huge blue bus for a red TTC bus.

I noticed today that VIVA is testing some new Bio Diesel buses (bus # 7201). I was just wondering how long the test period was for, and how many of the buses they are testing. Thanks in advance for the help!

Sorry about that... Yeah the New Flyers. I don't remember which ones! Just the albino ones, pure white with no other colour scheme except the YRT symbol on the back.

I've seen 2 of the new YRT Delta Flyers now that have broken down during the route. I was wondering if this was a problem with the entire shipment of buses.

Spotted a VIVA bus with the Windows Blue Screen of Death on it the other day. Forgot which bus, was Sunday at around 8-9, leaving Finch. Too good!

I was going home on the VIVA blue tonight at 7:15, when we were pulling out of Finch Station, I noticed that there was a AG300 VIVA bus (the large one) attached to a bus towtruck. I was wondering if anyone knew why. Thanks for your help.

I got this thumbnail off the old etspe site, and I cannot find the maker of this train engine. It was in the post about the TTC's new articulated train. If anyone could help, it would be much appreciated, because I've been searching, and cannot find a thing.
