I have seen a ton of Orion V Diesel's in the past month but I haven't seen even one CNG since January. I'm guessing they're all off the road now. Shame. Well, not really.

0717 had to be changed off tonight because the bell was busted...the driver announced that you need to tell him where you want off just after he left Eastgate, but people who got on after didn't know and wondered why the bus wasn't stopping...it seemed as though the stop request light would go on when the bus started moving (whether someone wanted off or not) and go off when the door opened, and the bell sometimes went off when the light came on and sometimes didn't...the bus was also 10 mins late but the 1 always runs late on Saturday nights

The 0700's are breaki8ng fast, 0705 has a part missing at the back bumper, on the passenger side.. sad.. a few weeks ago, 0709 had door problems, front door.... wouldnt close..

Some GM Classics, majority of MCI Classics, pretty much all of the Orion V's, V CNG's will be gone, GM artic's, too.

I rode on GM Artic 8203 which I thought was retired!!! before today, i havent saw it for a month or two! I think they brought it back in service..

This morning, on my way to school, I took a ride on hsr's artic 8203. I heard previously it was retired!

Did they bring it back into service?

Man I can't wait until the artic's hit the street. First "new" HSR bus since the Orion IV. I say that because I really don't count the different deliveries of New Flyer's as new. The most different they ever got is when the D40LF arrived... which really wasn't all that different anyway.

I agree with wonka.... U.T.O's drawing was better than the winner, but oh well they must have been judges that had bad taste..

i am just imagining what would happen if the GM artics spun out.. Would they end up snapping in half? like a transport doing a turn that is too sharp?

Why do they use old fare boxes in new buses? I dont like it... Most of the pass readers don't even work... thats sad... where did those fare boxes used to be.. they had to retire 22 busses, no?

I can tell you as I rode it ever since I rode it brand new in 1998, indeed it's going to be a dead bus one day!

I've noticed now all of the LFS rear window are now blackened.

Actually, most of hsr's novas have back warps so you cant see out the back window... almost all oh hsrs busses you cant see out of any window....

I just wanted to know everyones opinion on all Nova LFS models, I personally think they are really shakey, and make me sick to my stomach

Actually, if Anything, I will DEFEND the Drivers of the HSR, they are actually some of the nicest people you could ever meet, YES, there are a few "bad apples" but their few and far between, when you look at the way they are treated by BOTH the Company AND the union that is SOPPOSED to represent them, and then you add in the mixture of the evil and mostly RUDE, obnoxious passengers that are in Hamilton, you only have to add those factors up to conclude to why they are usually silent and surly, I will tell you from first hand knowledge, seeing my friends come under attack each and every day, that they have a right to be silent, if not polite and cheerful.

I dare you to go spend a few hours on the 1 KING, 2 BARTON, 5C West Hamilton, 41 Mohawk, 25-26 Up, Wentworth/Wellington on a Friday night or a Saturday night, even during McMaster school year, I will GARUNTEE you wont be thinking the same afterwords! I have personally seen my friends get attacked in many ways.

I infact know at least 5-7 DIFFERENT people that have had to take time off from being injured, and that is IF HSR will allow them to.

I have witnessed too many nasty incidences to speak of here, some would make your skin crawl.

My best friend had Cancer due to the job and was not even allowed off time to go for treatments :angry: , they had to take time off, not even talking about sick days here, WORKING DAYS, to be able to get the treatments they needed.

So, sorry, if you want to hear driver bashing, DO NOT come to me.

Yes there are jerks within HSR, but not enough to really speak of.....unless it stays OFF-RECORD, then there are many, not including the few drivers that can be jack*****.....

hey buschic,,, i know most of the drivers are nice, i have a friend that drives the 25/26 upper wentworth/wellington. his name is john. he is the nicest man you will find. (bring him some food and he will be happier)lol. if drivers need time off, i think they should get it. i believe john had 2 heart attacks (glad he recovered) but he got all the time off he needed if you can , get to know him.he is an older man with white hair. has a big belly...lol. bye!
