  1. Hey, I'm all for HSR ad updates. I even did one for Oakville not too long ago.

    Speaking of which...

There seems to be a conspiracy of the ads which at first I thought were "Turtle Jacks" ads (resturant) on various buses. Well, I found a new full rear wrap on 02-85 and it makes me think that those other ads for the resturant are for, in fact, Apple AutoGlass. confirmation to follow at a later date.

it's ok nick  our eyes trick us sometimes.. i once thought hsr's 0508 and 0501's nethercott chevy ada were removed but it turned out they were still there!!! lol

  2. We've got plenty 'o updates, even some revisions:

Well, CHCH News ads have been flashing up as of late. AS of now, I've determined that these ads, which are so similar to the current white background long-bars, have so far been found on:

    Classic 7003-85 (door side)

Classics 7005 and 07-85 (driver side)

    Classics 7012, 15 and 16-83 (driver side)

    * Possible ads may be found on 55-87 as of Tuesday, but its yet to be determined.

In other news, The Rolling Blueberry's no more. Its wrap has gone to the way side revealing its clean decals for the first time in a year and a half, maybe more. No ads to speak of. Interestingly enough, the fleet number on its door side rather, above the door displays:

    702503 (no spaces)

Makes me think that they rather go back to the previous numbering ie: 6390, etc...

Other ads have come up, too. D40LF 35-06 has something on its door-side as a long-bar ad as well as a small square ad on its rear. As always, confirmation to be determined on a later date.

And finally, Turtle Jacks Resturant can now be proud to be displayed all across Burlington with new ads! Invero 7023-03 has a new rear wrap for it with additional wraps on Classics 7002-85 (driver side) and 7015-83 (door side).

Multiple New 102.9 k-lite fm driverside ads with a pic of maatt and sunny have appeared on 7 hsr busse in the last few weeks heres a list of busses that have them:

    0201

    0310

    0320

    0405

    0406

    0409

    0411

two new driverside ads have appeared for Aquanica pools and spas on:

    0401

    0510

The nethercott chevrolet driverside ads have been replaced. they usued to be on 0508 and 0501. 0501 still has a new nethercott ad but the other one has been moved to 0315.

a new driverside ad also appeared on 0319 for big als petstore.

0601 finally recieved a small driverside ad for a food network tv show.

0201's rear ad for coldwell banker has been removed two weeks ago but none of the other 7 have been removed.

0512 and 9712's ad for o'sullivan autoshop have both been remade and are on different busses. the back ad has been moved to orion 9913 and the driverside ad has been moved to 0508.

Does everyone think it's ok to start a thread about HSR's exterior ads???

  3. There Quebec made trash...what do you expect...

Novas i hate to say are trash.. the engine is so horrible and when i was talking to a driver he said the steering isn't too good..

And in the summer when the A/C is on, water drips from it. I'm very surprised HSR's novas passed the emmisions testing because whenever they accelerate, alls you see is black smoke coming from the exhaust.

  4. The MP40PH-3C's will have more tractive effort for faster acceleration, more horsepower and a higher-geared top speed. They will be limited to about 95mph, rather than 83 on the F59PH's.

The top speed is really only going to come in handy on the expresses on the Lakeshore lines, and maybe on the Stouffville trains for the sprint from Scarborough to Pape.

    Dan

And apparently they can pull up to 12 cars instead of 10 like the normal locos they use now.. which can hold 300 more passengers..

    Chris

  5. Its a little more complex than simply typing " OUT OF SERVICE" on the Luminator Software. Some systems just have more time on their hands to put "Out Of Service" on rear signs while others just simply put "OOS" instead of screwing around with fonts/sizes/codes etc

no it's not a driver mistake.. 0712 said "3 and underneath the "3" it said cannon. here are the busses i saw with the changed back lED sign

    -0209

    -0413

    -0501

    -0610? i think

    -0612

    -0614 possibly

and 5 or 6 more busses

also the hsr had 0703 as a bike rack installed and the led sign displayed "training" and they had two bikes on it.. two drivers were in it takin it around gore park and other areas.. 0703's bike rack has been taken off.

i saw a pic of 0612 in the spec a few days ago with a bike rack installed... to promote it.. but since has been taken off..

last week, 0702 was used in a comercial shoot at main and john, it had it's driver side ad rack removed and had all hsr logos taken off.

EDITED JULY 25, 2007 NEW UPDATES

Bolded icons means it was just updated*

  9. I have my doubts they spraypainted, unless mechanics have difficulty to remove it by hand. You'll see the number left on mark.

They did i had a close look at 0511's number, it looks like a blob of white. 0406 has been done to. And they didn't remove the number on 0406, instead, they put a white "51" sticker over top of the blue "51 sticker. it's still noticible up close, i was in he car right behind it, and it is a different shade of white then the bus paint. Also 0314 has been done.

  10. We've got another.

As of yesterday, 0503, wrapped from the Mapleview Centre.

0503 has been like that for a while... also confirmed, is 0312, 0305, 0413, 0503, 0511, 0520, and theres probably more by now. on 0511, they spraypainted over where the 51 was on all sides, because they left marks, and no they didnt move all the numbers but i wish they did cuz their all not centred. And 0721 has a new bike rack.

  11. What is the name of the shop?....I take it, it is on Gage btwn. Beach Road and Burlington street?....But I can't picture where.....let me know, be interesting to see........

i dont know i was on my bike and if you go north on gage towards the bay, it is on the right hand side. sorry i was on my bike with a friend and i will go back and check and see the busses....

  12. I agree. Though this will make it harder to spot '07 D40LF from a distance. The only way I was able to tell before was the short number and *usually* lack of ad wrap.

They also added a bike rack to 0520 and it is a disadvantage to spot the 07s

  13. 510520 has had a number change, the bus looks the same but it is now "0520" i saw it as "Mountain Garage" going through Gore Park and was thinking it was done pretty recently... I think they may do this to all the busses from 2002-2005...

  14. did you guys know that mississauga transit busses are repaired in hamilton? The shop is located on Gage Ave. just before burlington street... I didn't know that until i rode my bike by there and the garage door was open and there it was, it really surprised me. there were also busses form other transit agencies. There was one that looked really old and i didnt get where it was from and there were also some GO Busses... Cool eh? I wanna go back there cuz i dont get the chance ever to go to mississauga.
