WestJet is a Canadian aviation provider.

Westjet was founded in 1996 by Clive Beddoe, Mark Hill, Tim Morgan and Donald Bell, four Calgary entrepreneurs who saw an opportunity to provide low-fare air travel across western Canada. The team researched other successful airlines in North America - in particular low-cost carriers. Following the primary examples of Southwest Airlines and Morris Air, they determined that a similar model could be successful in Western Canada.

Westjet currently has 119 aircraft - 115 Boeing 737 Next Generation and 4 Boeing 767-300ER[1]. Their network has expanded throughout Canada, the United States and Europe.
