Kingston Transit route 1 is an accessible route in the city of Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

Current Route

Route 1 starts on Battersea Road at the town of Kingston Mills, located just north of Highway 401. The route then goes straight down Montreal Street towards downtown Kingston, leaving Montreal Street to pass through the Rideau Heights area and to take it past the Rideaucrest Retirement Home.

After leaving downtown it proceeds to the Kingston Centre using main roads, especially Princess Street. From the Kingston Centre it follows Princess Street to the Cataraqui Town Centre. It then runs through the Cataraqui Woods subdivision before returning to the Cataraqui Town Centre.

From there buses from route 1 change into Kingston Transit route 71 and upon arrival at the Cataraqui Town Centre from a run on route 71 change back to route 1 for a return trip to Kingston Mills.
