  1. Awesome thanks for great news. I'm getting antsy and keep having to remember that patience is a virtue! It's not a crazy essay. It's a question. You answer in full sentences and paragraph. It's not hard. I'm sure the question changes so just read it. I promise...it's not hard. So long story short...I was arrested several years ago, charge was withdrawn...my fingerprints are still on file though with Toronto Police. They sent me for fingerprints because the Toronto database doesn't show withdrawn (just shows I was arrested). Rcmp took 4.5 months. Came back with no match, ran the results to Toronto Police...2 weeks later (last week) got my CLEAR letter!! Thanks...I can't wait til I go in and sign my life away ? No worries!! Hope it went well!
  2. Hey Bus girl. .. The info session was pretty straightforward. Guest speakers and HR ppl talk about the job. They go over some power points. They'll explain the job shadow assignment (pay attention to that) a lot of ppl in my session had a tough time understanding that. Biggest thing is to pay attention to everything that is said. The test is 50 questions. ..you have 12 mins. You're not expected to finish. You have 14 seconds per question. It's to show you can focus under pressure. The essay is done in 5 mins. They're looking for spelling and grammar (plus content obviously)...this forum is awesome, ppl are super helpful and very supportive. Welcome!
  3. Hey everyone!! It's been awhile. Wanted to give an update...I finally got my police clearance letter. Only took 5 months, (7 if you count the date from the interview date)...what a disaster. Anyone have any clue as to how long it takes from getting the police clearance and documentation?? I'm just really stoked that the clearance finally came in and I'm ready to get going!! Cheers
  4. Thank you. It's tough not to stress but at the end of the day it's not in my control so stressing really does absolutely nothing. Thanks again ☺
  5. Hey guys. The only thing I was asked during the interview was about convictions, which don exist. I didn't offer any other information to the recruiters. I honestly didn't feel it would be an issue because since 2011, I've acquired a Security Guard licence, which I believe included a vulnerable sector check (could be mistaken) and that process was much faster through OPP.
  6. Thank you so much for that! It's been 3 months to the day since my fingerprints were taken. I was arrested in 2011 but the charge was withdrawn. I guess I have a few extra steps but as long as I'm still in the running I feel good. I can't thank you enough for putting me a bit more at ease. Thank you!!☺ Thank you so much for that! 7. Hey Everyone!! I'm a long time follower of this thread, first time poster. I started my journey through the application process in February 2015. Since then I've made it all the way to the Police clearance stage. Here is my dilemma and where I'm hoping someone could maybe shed some light for me. I received my Toronto Police request form in the mail, asking for fingerprints back in November. I went the next day to have them electronically taken and sent to RCMP. Does anyone know why that is taking so long? I still haven't heard back and the company advised to wait until at least 120 days before calling RCMP and inquiring. Any tips, suggestions, experiences are more then welcome...it's nice to meet you all! Cranky Franky!
