History

They were among the first known production units of the E-Z Rider II MAX model delivered to a transit agency. This series came in two batches: the first part of the order (built in late 2005-early 2006, build plate confirmation is needed) consisted of 5 units, 06301-06305; a second, larger portion of the order (built in spring 2006) consisted of the remainder, 06306-06319. The Allison transmission used in those units is the older 3rd generation WTEC variant (instead of the updated 4th generation model used for the later 2007 and 2009 series).

The buses were last operated by MV Transportation for DASH routes only. Units assigned to the North Region San Fernando Valley base were originally contracted by Transdev (formerly Veolia Transportation) until mid-January 2012.

These buses were replaced by the 2020 Proterra Catalyst BE35 buses and the 2020-2021 and 2022 BYD K7M buses.
