12 Conestoga Mall/Fairview Park is a conventional bus route operated by Grand River Transit.
The route serves Conestoga Mall Terminal, Wilfrid Laurier University, University of Waterloo, Forest Glen Terminal, and Fairview Park Terminal. It forms the backbone route for passengers wishing to bypass Uptown and Downtown.
As part of the 2011 Proposed Service Improvements Plan, route 12 was realigned in September 2011 so it serves Westmount Road from University Avenue to Block Line Road. This eliminated service along Keats Way, Fischer-Hallman Road, Highland Hills Mall Terminal, and Highland Road. Service along Fischer-Hallman Road was replaced by the new route 201, and route 29 continues to serve Keats Way.[1]
As part of the 2013 Proposed Service Improvements Plan, route 12 was realigned in September 2013 so it serves Weber Street and Lincoln Road. This eliminated service on Carter Avenue and Marshall Street.
