Detroit Transportation Corporation 01-12 are Mark 1 ICTS cars built in 1986. They usually run in two-car pairs, though they can operate as single cars.

Originally, they were painted in white with green-and-yellow stripes on the bottom, interrupted by the car number at one end and a "DPM" logo at the other. This paint began being phased out as early as 2000 with the introduction of advertisement wraps and was fully phased out by 2005 once each car started receiving wraps, though it was briefly revived in November 2023, and is still extant below wraps on all cars and remnants can often be seen on edges, especially near the doors when closed.
