  1. 1807 on the 199 around 12:45pm southbound Nose Hill Drive at Country Hills Blvd.

  3. Those units have been sitting there for some time now - I first saw them about a month ago and saw them again when I drove by last week. They`re looking good!
  4. The font is quite similar. The purpose of them is merely identification. I trust they all have some form of variation year after year, series after series...
  5. i noticed they also installed a display on the exterior canopy of the new EEEL building at the uofc... it appeared to show only scheduled times but who knows what may be down the line! edit: i guess other posters already posted.
  6. Change given at ticket machines, machines taking plastic. Soon to be Connect card and associated systems.
  7. The driver in the D40LF made it obvious that he was trying to cover his face, haha...
  8. It all comes back to wherever on the route is most convenient, and wherever there is best opportunity for them to use the facilities or buy a quick coffee. It's' not always at the end of the line. I am of the full opinion that drivers should be, within reason, be free to make that judgment on their own. As passengers, we should be more than understanding. Everybody desires punctuality. But the nature of the work doesn't always guarantee that the times scheduled is when buses or trains will arrive/depart. Road conditions, breakdowns, emergencies, etc. all affect timings. It should be well understood that if you are taking public transit - you should build sufficient / reasonable time into your trip. EDIT: at night it may be more likely to occur due to less passenger traffic/ loads. So presumably the frequency or desire of them to grab a coffee or a bite at that time of day is not entirely unexpected.
  9. My understanding is that the drivers are often doing their best in maintaining schedules. If nature calls, or they know there is an opportunity, it is only fair for them to take it, then to risk the safety of passengers or the health of the operator him/ herself. It is selfish of you to suggest, or at least come across that your schedules or activities are of greater importance. Bus drivers are also people. You should take the opportunity to thank them, rather than frown at them for simply relieving themselves when nature calls. Just keep in mind, bus drivers aren't always within reach of a washroom when they need it. The likelihood of them holding out until the next opportunity, I'd be willing to bet, is larger than a good portion of us, who (I'd say) are generally within fair proximity to the facilities.
  10. Spotted 2319 out and about on 7th avenue NIS this afternoon around 12:30 - heading eastbound then westbound again. The interior was fully wrapped up still. It came out dressed like 2318 as posted above.
  11. 1781 out tonight on the 37 at Dalhousie Station around 9pm.
  12. 1777 was in service today around 11ish southbound on Home Road on the route 407.
  13. 1046 was spotted on a Tom Baines school route in Edgemont this afternoon around 3:30pm. It was behind a Nova (missed the fleet number as I was trying to pay attention to the kids crossing the road).
  14. haha. Note the street sign also says Spring Gardens ...
  15. Was on 2303 today for the first time. Very quiet and smooth, I'd say.
  16. What happened to it?
  17. CTV Calgary had a report on it yesterday. It appeared to be a U2 that had Crowfoot on the destination sign.
  18. You mean operation, and City Hall.
  19. Saw AHS 2707 heading south on Crowchild Trail just near the Naval Museum yesterday.
  20. calgaryherald (and actually CTV as well) has the picture and video. The front fleet numbers look temporary... likely as they had to get something on there... Although i wish they had just left it out... it looked way too obvious hahaha... http://www.calgaryherald.com/news/calgary/...8234/story.html and you can also see that they only temporarily numbered one side, and haven't finished the front cap on one end, either.
  21. Route 54 around 5:00pm on Edgemont Blvd northbound.
  22. The silencers will be on all the future installations.
  23. Where have they been doing them so far? Afterall, they did mention in a recent announcement that CT would investigate and implement electronic fare payment systems... don't know if this has anything to do with it..

    Park Plus

Those signs with orange bases advertising how to use park plus, and to pay $3 have been erected this morning. Drove past and looks to me as if a guy was setting up zone numbers too. Or was about to. Not quite sure. We'll find out soon.
