Cinder Bed (Depot Code: C) is one of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority's 9 depots. This garage handles routes in Fairfax County, Virginia. Cinder Bed opened on December 30, 2018 replacing Royal Street.

Cinder Bed was contracted by Transdev when it opened. Since its opening, the garage was known for poor maintenance and poor working conditions by Transdev. Multiple reports of buses breaking down and poor working conditions such as poor pay and break times came into light in 2019. Conditions got so bad that on October 24, 2019, Transdev workers from Cinder Bed went on a strike for unfair labor practices. The strike caused disruptions to all lines from Cinder Bed with only the 29K/29N, and REX operating on Sunday schedules with the rest of the routes suspended.[1] A similar strike happened at Fairfax Connector, but was later resolved a week later.

Negotiations continued for three months with a few routes beginning to return to service through the three months. In mid January 2020, the strike ended after workers and Transdev struck a contract. However, bus service was not restored until January 24, 2020 effectively ending the strike after three months.[2] As a result of the controversy, WMATA took back operations from Transdev on December 26, 2021, and multiple buses were retired.[3] Cinder Bed drivers and buses were temporarily assigned to Shepherd Parkway until January 2, 2022.
