The New Flyer Industries DE40LFA (also known as the DE40LFA BRT) is a BRT version of the DE40LF. It was initially introduced as the DE40LF BRT. It features New Flyer's unique BRT styling which includes a one-piece windshield, a sleeker front end, as well as the same smoother rear end with recessed taillights found on the restyled designs. The majority of the bus remains the same, but the batteries on the roof have a more streamlined enclosure.
