History

Metro Transit was in need of buses to provide extra service in light of the I-35W bridge collapse, which happened in August 2007. To ensure they had enough buses, they exercised an option from a then-existing contract with New Flyer to purchase 15 articulated buses. The buses were delivered in early 2008.

These buses are retiring starting in February 2022.
