Brampton Transit 8894-8899 were Orion I (01.508) buses built in 1988 by Orion Bus Industries and delivered in September 1988.

They were not equipped with Air Conditioning and featured upper sliding windows. As-built they were delivered with front and side rollsigns.

Four buses in this series were refurbished, two were not. 8899 was the only one to receive a Luminator LED sign when refurbished. Also, as the only remaining unit in this series, 8899 did not receive a bike rack.

This series also marked the first order of buses with the Detroit Diesel 6V92TA, as previous orders including the 1986 Orion I order came with older 6V71N's.

With the continued deliveries of Nova LFS buses in 2009 and 2011, the buses in this series were all retired.
