  1. Thanks Dude! Hope you can give us the serial numbers of the NG Orions too! MWAP
  2. Does anyone have the serial numbers for the 2008-2010 Orion VII NG Buses that were delivered to the MTA? If someone out there could post this info, it would be a wonderful thing! Thanks MWAP
  3. The New York City Department of Buses is not sure that they will hold their annual Bus Rodeo at Floyd Bennet Field for 2010 due to money problems. The NYCTA's Transit Museum will hold the annual Vintage Bus display in Downtown Brooklyn. No date has been set. MWAP
  4. I don't know for sure if the ENY Base Shop is going to put a ZF transmission back into 317. I sure hope they do. The ZF works better with Cummins Engine on that bus. It sounds better too! MWAP
  5. Bus #317 is not part of the Vintage Fleet yet. The bus is in storge at the Eastchester Depot. 317 is to have work done to it before it takes it's place among the rest of the Museum Fleet. This will take some before it happens. The ENY Vintage Fleet Services is a complete rehab on 2124, and 303. The shop force will also do suspension work on 6259. After all of this work is done, they will replace the CNG tanks on 317, and maybe replace the powertrain back to the Cummins L10G, and repaint the bus to it's original look. I know this because I am the person the got the ball rolling to save this bus along with 1001, a New Flyer D60HF Artictulated. MWAP
  6. Thanks for the info. It's a great help to get serial numbers on alot of these buses. Do you have the serial numbers for the 2007-2008 Orion 07.501 Hybrids that went to MTA Bus? And the 2008-2010 Orion 07.501 NG Hybrids as well? Thanks. MWAP
  7. The MTA did save one. The bus #6350 will be placed with rest of the NYCTA's vintage fleet. MWAP
  8. Ther were 2 other Turbo-Cruisers that GMC had built in 1969 as T8H-5305A's (serial # 026, and 027). They were later used for the Steam Bus Project.
  9. The NYCTA's Vintage Fleet Services has got their hands on a 1959 GMC TDH-5106 that use to operate for Bee Line in Long Island. This bus, #617, is going to be totaly restored, and will be painted in the Bee Line paint scheme.
  10. The Nova Bus LFS that is being tested in New York was sent to the MTA as a demo. This bus, numbered 0055 is painted white with a silver/grey skirt, and is at the JFK Depot, and has been tested on the Q10, Q11, and Q60 routes. The JFK Depot will be testing the LFS for 30 days, and then will be sent to the Ulmer Park Depot, were the Nova Bus demo will be on a second 30 day testing. After inspection from the testing, the bus will be sent back to Nova Bus.
  11. The NYCDOB has sent the Nova Bus Artic #1201 back to the vendor for changes to be made for the MTA. The bus should be back at Zerega Training for inspection before it heads over to the 126th Street Depot in about 2-3 weeks. 1201 does not have the SBS mask, and will be in service on both the M15 and M15 Limited. Nova Bus has built 4 more LFSA's for the NYCTA and will be going over to the vendor in New Jersey. No delivery date has been set on when the NYCTA will take these 4 buses.
