Bluebird CV200 1523 is still active for the 2025-26 school year, currently based out of Springbank yard.

61 is a 54 passenger IC CE, spotted it broken down WB on Highway 1A just west of 12 Mile Coulee Road NW at about 5pm today.

Fenton Bus Lines has a diesel Lion School Bus. Have spotted it at 14th Street and Symons Valley Parkway NW at about 650AM 2 days in a row. Can't quite make out the number. 60? Here is a quick glimpse with other traffic in the way.

Here are a couple of pictures of it on charter at a bowling location in NE Calgary Thursday. It was also on charters on Wednesday, it visited the zoo.

A few more Cochrane Southland updates: In addition to 25634, 25659, 25754, 25757, the other following new style 2025 IC CE's are also operating in Cochrane: 25758, 25762. The following brand new 2025 Blue Bird Vision Diesels are also there: 25838, 25839 and 25840.

CV200, 1523 is parked at the NE yard off to the side, but still has its Willco decals and license plate all intact. Maybe as a spare, maybe on a school run. Keep an eye out.

Yep for as long as I remember back to the early 2000s, Christmas Eve has received regular service as per whichever day of the week it is.

Blue Bird TX4's 604 and 606 have been working school runs out in Springbank this year. Both buses have the Wheres The Bus system installed that allows the public to track if school buses are on time and as well for students to scan their bus passes. There are 3 schools just west of Willco's yard, all Rocky View Schools. Currently Willco has the contract for 15 Rocky View School Division routes. 10 in Springbank and 5 at Banded Peak near Bragg Creek.

Willco has a couple more additions. Two Propane powered 2021 Blue Bird Visions. 71 passenger equipped, tinted windows and LED taillights. The numbers are 438 and 521 (no luggage bays though). Both units recent additions from Legacy Bus Sales. One of the buses has the same license plate that recently retired 1315 had. Very much same specs as what they have been getting from Legacy Bus Sales recently like 437, 519 and 520. Here is an unrelated picture of 604 resting on 148th Avenue NW between runs.

They also have a yard at the old Symons Valley Ranch that is shared with Uhaul and various construction vehicles. 14555 Symons Valley Rd NW

Spotted at Southland yard in Cochrane today were 25634, 25659, 25754, 25757. As well 2 other units that I could not see fleet numbers for as these only seem to have fleet numbers in the sides near the front. Photos of 25757 and 26634 taken from the road attached. As well 782 a Freightliner FS65 that was still running last school year and 829, a International 3800 Corbeil are both no longer around I am pretty sure.

Update spotted two of these units. 25569 and 25#78. I assume the 2nd is 25578. Both Cochrane based. Specs include: diesel, regular height skirts, non tinted windows, black hoods and LED taillights.

Spotted a 25000 series new style IC CE for Southland based in Cochrane today. Will try to get a better look in the next few days.

80 routes with Calgary Catholic School District for a 5 year contract.

Spotted 55037 and 55040 in Nolan Hill. New 2024 Blue Bird Vision with tinted windows, black around the warning lights, propane 72 passenger body.

Actually in Cochrane the ambers/reds/stop signs are used. I believe it's up to each municipality to make the decision about use of the 8 way warning light system.

A few updates about Willco. Summer 2024 saw the addition of two more fairly new Blue Bird Visions. 520, a gasoline 72 passenger bodied unit with luggage bins installed on the door side of the bus. 437 a propane powered 72 passenger unit. At least two Blue Bird CV200's still exist at Willco. 1315, a 54 passenger unit and 1523, 72 passenger unit. The latter works a route for Bearspaw Christian School. Willco has picked up a number of routes out of the 3 Rocky View Schools in Springbank that use to be run by Southland. Southland has taken on routes that Willco had at one of FFCA's north campuses.

Stock Transportation in Calgary has its yard at 23rd Sreet between 51st and 52 Avenue SE. The yard is clearly visible to the west of Barlow Trail at 50th Avenue SE. Mao attached for reference, empty lot shown, but now is a Stock Transportation lot.

Spotted last Thursday near Nolan Hill 24503, a 2024 or 25 Blue Bird Vision gasoline.

In place of 4055 this morning a commercial bus style all white Blue Bird Vision was doing the work that 4055 has. Did not fully catch a fleet number, but based in digging through the Wiki in the Diversified section could possibly be 5391.

Spotted today a Blue Bird Vision from the rear and side. Non tinted windows with fleet number 150376 up in the Symons Valley Blvd. area.

Southland 4055 is a white Thomas C2 with a rooftop cooling and or heating unit (maybe an air conditioner?) at the very back of the bus. It has LED tail lights too. Has no crossview mirrors at the front and is based in Cochrane, I see it heading to work EB on the 1A between Cochrane and Calgary every morning now for the past few weeks.
