Roam (formerly Banff Transit) is the transit operator in Banff, Alberta. It operates 3 routes in the summer and 2 in the winter with a fleet of 4 buses. It is Canada's first all-hybrid bio-diesel/electric bus service.

The service, along with it's standard bus stops, features 10 specialty stops with LED displays for notification of when buses will arrive. As well, an electronic fare system issues receipts which can issue random coupons and prizes.

Retired

  • Banff Transit was operated by replica streetcars (on wheels with diesel engine) prior to 2005, it is unknown when these buses started operating the service.
  • Banff Transit was often operated by ElDorado National Escort RE buses loaned from Pinnacle Sightseeing and Tours during parts of 2007 to May 2008. This occurred when buses #01-03 (D40/Orion I's) could not/were not operated.
  • Banff Transit, now Roam, began operating Nova LFS HEV (Diesel-Electric Hybrid) buses on June 2, 2008. Replacing all previous vehicles.
