Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority 1601-1624 are 2016 Nova Bus LFS Natural Gas buses. They were purchased on NFTA project number 2-3456 at a cost of $14,586,475.

Delivery was completed in June of 2016, shortly following 1501-1520. These buses were purchased to retire the rest of the 9601-9641 series, and select units in the 2101-2141 and 2201-2242 series that had outlived their useful lives.
